This study examines the structure and status of Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine from the perspective of the Heavenly ritual Area of Taebaeksan Mountain, which continues the tradition of the SunDo(仙道) Heavenly ritual in Northeast Asia. Daegwallyeong is the gateway to the Taebaeksanmaek Mountains connecting Gangneung and Seoul, and since ancient times, it is a place where people from Gangneung have gathered and Heavenly ritual used, so there is a limit to studying only Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine. The author defined Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine as the “Taebaeksan Heavenly ritual Cultural Area” and conducted the study because it was considered that studying the origin of the Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine by comparing it with Taebaeksan Mountain, which is connected to Daegwallyeong and Taebaeksan Mountain.
First, the identity of the two places was confirmed by comparing the structure of Heavenly Altar in Taebaeksan Mountain and the National History of Daegwallyeong. Both places showed the same structure of Heavenly Altar – SanShindang(Mountain god Shrine)-Shinsa(shrine)- Well, and it was confirmed that the two places had the same procedure and schedule. Of course, both shrines have disappeared, and Manggyeongsa Temple is located in Taebaeksan Mountain and Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine is located in Daegwallyeong Pass, but the remaining records and circumstances confirm that the structure of the two places is the same.
If the structure and ritual procedures of the two places are the same, it proves that Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine is the Heavenly ritual cultural area of Taebaeksan Mountain, so we looked at the status of Daegwallyeong Guksa seonghwangsa Shrine through the process of changing the status of Taebaeksan Heavenly Altar. The status of Taebaeksan Heavenly Altar was changed from MaGo, which is “Ilgi⋅Samgi(一氣⋅三氣)”, to SahmSung(the holy three), and DahnGun, and later the SanShin(mountain god) was added, and it was confirmed that the Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine was ChilSung(七星), the “Ilgi⋅Samgi(一氣⋅三氣)”, but later changed to SanShin(mountain god) and SeongHwangShin, and YongWangShin was added and it has been handed down until now.
Finally, if Daegwallyeong was in the Heavenly ritual culture of Taebaeksan Mountain, how Bum-il National Priest, a Buddhist monk, was able to become the god of Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine, was investigated through his Zen character and bright ideas. In the story of his birth, the bright ideas such as “sun(light),” “well,” and “rock” appeared, and the fact that he performed at Baekdalsan(白達山) Mountain, and that he was the founder of Sagulsanmun(闍崛山門), which led the SunDo(仙道) BiBo(裨補) ideology, paved the way for Buddhist monks in the late Three Kingdoms period, but In fact, it was revealed that it was a Sun Priest(仙家) that continued the tradition of the SunDo(仙道) Heavenly ritual in Northeast Asia.
It is forgotten that Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine was the place where the Heavenly ritual called the MuCheon(舞天) of Yeguk(濊國) was held over time, and ChilSung(七星), which is the life energy “Ilgi⋅Samgi (一氣⋅三氣),” remains as a folk shamanistic image, but the original shape of Daegwallyeong was clearly confirmed through comparison with Taebaeksan Mountain, which retains the original shape of the SunDo(仙道) Heavenly ritual in Northeast Asia. B.C. Although its meaning is now forgotten, the SunDo(仙道) Heavenly ritual culture in Northeast Asia has left traces in Heavenly ritual Mountain and folk culture on the Korean Peninsula, so if you look at the other Heavenly ritual mountains, centering on the tradition of SunDo(仙道) Heavenly ritual culture in Northeast Asia, you can see its original appearance naturally. Daegwallyeong Guksaseonghwangsa Shrine was also...
