I. Introduction
This thesis was written for groping for an effective direction of infant children education in Indonesia mission in the future. Nowadays various evaluations, development, and the study of strategies for more effective mission in Indonesia, are needed. In line with this necessity, I have studied the potentiality of infant children education in Indonesia through the research of literatures and documentary records, and interviews in view of an ideology Indonesia, social need, religious situations, and the conditions of educational system. Futhermore, based on this, according the necessity of construction of the foundation for the infant children education ministry as a long-term project, I have tried to research and analyze two examples of management of infant children education organization as a successful franchise system.
II. The Meaning of Infant Children Eucation as Mission
In Chapter 2, trying to find the meaning of mission of infant children education and the ground of being harmonized between mission and education in the Bible and the history of mission, I have already realized the importance of infant children education, and the urgency and the seriousness of children ministry as a mission work by researching each step of infant children development and analyzing the crises which infant children would face spiritually and physically in Indonesia. Also I have found out that Christian infant children education should help Christian teachers who have Christian world view, infant children not only to know about God and Jesus Christ, but also to let them live in line with God's creation plan, in having close relation with God as a man who has God's image. This kind of education should be accomplished in schools, church and even home, and the contents of the general education and Christian education should be combined, based on the principle that the contents of education, namely, all subjects has to be reinterpreted in terms of the relationship with God.
III. The Background of Education of Mission in Indonesia
In chapter 3, I have researched the process and situations of infant children education system as well as a general understanding of Indonesia because, first of all, we need to understand not only the general background of country, social situations, culture, and education in Indonesia, but also the environments of education for infant children and the requirements of the nation and the society, when we carry out infant children education ministry for Indonesia mission.
Therefore I have found out the basic information which is needed for a mission work through a institution of infant children education. Furthermore I have realized that the ideology of unifying Indonesian people and the real necessity of society are showing the possibility of mission through infant children education in the closed religious situations of Indonesia.
IV. Analyzation of Successful Examples of The infant children Education Foundation in Indonesia
On the basis of the possibility and the information of infant children education ministry which I have already found in the chapter 3 above, I have groped for the franchise system for infant children education as a approaching strategy for more effective ministry.
The franchise system is originally a kind of distribution industry, but I have tried to graft it on the education, so an education body become a franchiser. And the knowhow of education and management which he have developed and stored up - curriculums, the education of teachers, the management of teachers, and the administration of schools, etc - will be provided the franchisees during the execution of the contract. This system already is being operated in Indonesia, so I have researched and analyzed the foundation of AL-AZHAR and BPK PENABUR that have been well known in Indonesia.
V. Conclusions and Suggestions
On the basis of contents of chapter 2 ~ chapter 4, I will suggest some directions of effective ministry of infant children education as a mission work in Indonesia.
First, it needs to make a team for taking concrete shape of cooperation of missionaries. The educational specialist who have majored in infant children education and have had abundant experiences in educational field, missionaries who have experienced the ministry of kindergarden or nursery school, and the specialist of administration and management of education in Indonesia, they all need to become the member of the team just for one vision.
Second, the cooperation of the local churches and local people, or an organization is needed. If we want to found and register an institution of education in Indonesia, it must be registered under the name of local people. In the future, it is needed to work together with healthy local churches or an organization as an umbrella of protection for the ministry.
Thirdly, when we make a franchise system, if knowhow and materials are provided by Christian kindergarden or an educational institution of Korea which are being operated well, it will be more effective and play a important role as advantage in getting a wide recognition.
Fourthly, it needs not only to found an educational college or a professional school, but also to run a short course for Christian teachers who already have a licence on the basis of vision which the franchise education foundation is having. In a teachers' training course, first of all, healthy emotion and good character should be built through the process of clear conversion, attitude as an missionary, and inner healing, as well as the education on the basis of the biblical world view is needed. The system of the reeducation for teachers also have to be developed.
Fifthly, it is needed to develop an unified and dynamic Christian infant children education curriculum which advance present age, according to the philosophical background as biblical world view, the scholastic background as infant children education, and the practical background of Indonesia
Sixthly, it should focus on infant children of the middle classes or the upper middle classes in terms of economy as a strategy of management at the first stage of ministry, considering a good reputation and early economical independence.
Seventh, when we try to run a franchise system of kindergarden in Indonesia, we have to study and plan various forms of contract, considering the object of franchise who a franchiser would make a contract with, geographical situations of kindergarden and situations of person who will be taught.
In addition to these, a special and distinctive program, good facilities and environments, seminar or workshop for other kindergarden teachers, a publishing and distribution of books in helping in Christian infant children education field, and the service of educational consulting could be used for the successful administration as a strategy.
