This research starts from critical mind that study on body in dance study should be retated with anatomy knowledge. Study on education method is sincere to maintain straight body alignment in the anatomic aspect.
This research have an objective on suggesting class model in order to maintain straight body of dancers after recognizing importance of straight body alignment as well as bringing up sound body, expression method of dance.
Qualitative methodology was taken in this paper and I suggest a class model in order to straight body alignment. Also, straight hody alignment makes it possible to shape body of dancer and prevent body change which could happen during performance after smoothing dancer's movement. This straight body alignment can be fostered through dance education and I would suggest straight body alignment class model.
The process of study starts with document survey related with dance anatomy and dancer's body and related with scientific dance training method. And I surveyed recognition about body alignment in the dance education field to select the subject. Also, education Program and methodology were chosen to perform education about straight body alignment and total 72 education, 3 times a week for 6 months was taken place, researcher took survey note, an in-depth discussion with research participants, self report of participants, x-ray filming and decoding the result with medical specialists of oriental medicine, experts in anatomy, and people studying anatomy, decoding general photograph film and body change with medical specialists and I have concluded as following.
First, straight body alignment education leads bringing up of beautiful dancer's body.
Second, straight body alignment education leads no trouble of movement.
Third, education on straight body alignment maintenance is effective in declining pain which could be happened during peformance.
Fourth, education on straight body alignment maintenance prevent injury.
Fifth, straight body alignment maintenance can be formed through education.
6 out of 9 participants have cured after this education program. Most of them showed cure in pelvis, thoracic vertebrae, and lumbar.
However, 9 participants is in the process of cure into straight body gesture after interpreting general photograph. This result shows that body change of dancers could because of change of bone but because of wrong use of muscle. Therefore, straight body alignment maintenance is accomplished through dance education.
Based on this result, the research suggests class model which can maintain straight body alignment.
First, basic direction, character and object of education program in order to maintain body alignment
Basic direction of education program for maintaining body alignment is in designing class to sound body alignment based on understanding about body mechanism. And the program has the character of designing class model through understandng about anatomic and physiologist principle of body not the education for simple technology. Therefore, ultimate object of class model for maintaining body alignment is the understanding effective movement principle through body understanding, bringing up the beautiful dancer's body, prevention of dancer's injury, and extension of dancer's life, etc,.
Second, education program for maintaining straight body alignment Education pogram to maintain straight body alignment only suggests principle of movement to be used in dance education performance not the specific technique which was performed by the researcher, Educator who educates dance can educate with their body as a tool and I only suggest essential movement principle of education program to maintain straight body alignment. 5 area of education program are suggested to maintain straight body alignment.
Ahead of performing dance movement, as for phase of body control to improve dance performance, dancers should perform warming-up phase to stretch whole body. Second, movement to improve upper body movement should be performed in the gesture of flexibility of upper body and center of body. Third, center transfer ability can be strengthened with movement to smooth joints of lower part of body. Last, strained breath and muscle should be stabilized after movement and complete movement with cool-down which could lead straight body alignment afterward.
Third, education methodology to maintain straight body alignment Education methodology to maintain straight body alignment choose 5 areas, education utilizing mental image, education through training, education through promotion, education through self observation and education through repetitive study, that are the most effective methodology suggested by research participants.
Fourth, plan of education curriculum to maintain straight body alignment
Plan of education curriculum to maintain straight body alignment is divided with education target, education term, education period and education method. Among them, education target is suitable for beginner who starts modern dance, and students in adolescent period who have completed body growth, the education term is 1 ∼ 3 year, minimum period of education for maintaining straight body and period that body remembers.
Fifth, expected effect of class model to maintain straight body alignment
Education on straight body alignment prevents body change and injury of dancer by sound body recognition and lead improvement of dance capacity and extension of life of dancer. Therefore, the expected effect of straight body alignment education can be 4 aspects in the research. They are artistic effect, dance medical effect, dance educational effect and economic effect. Artistic effect is shaping beautiful body of dancer through body alignment education and dance medical effect can be achieved through injury and posture correction. Also dance function having straight body in the professional dancer training has expected effect that it can educate great dancer and educational effect that entend dancer's life. Last, it is the economic effect that it can prevent unnecessary withdraw of money through body change and injury of dancer.
Following factors are very important factor to be considered in the Performance of class model and I would suggest some perfect class models.
First, recognition of importance of straight body alignment education in the dance education field
Second, achievement of correlation between dance and anatomy in developing dance class model
Third, development of various technique programs is urgent for dance class
Fourth, necessity of concentrated bringing up the educators who perform dance education
Precondition is suggested to educate straight body alignment. In the dance education, educators should consider how to foster tool of human body in order to establish right direction. Therefore, I can suggest basic material to design class model of dance education by this research. Also, more active research on developing desirable curriculum model is necessary in the dance education area.
