The purpose of this study was to present the changes and implications of Yongmudo research through the content analysis of 27 research papers published in specialized academic journals from 2001 to 2023, the time of Yongmudo's birth. As a result of the study, the seven major types of papers in each detailed research area were cultural history (history) philosophy, motor psychology, martial arts education, motor physiology, motor injury, and kinematics. First, changes in research topics in philosophy and history, which are humanities fields, are leading to the composition and content of Yongmudo, the founding process, training value, development process, and direction. Second, looking at the changes in the field of social science, it has led to leadership and player psychology in learning performance ability, and since 2018, the education field has been focused on the trust and leadership of business leaders. Third, in the field of natural science, injury research appeared first in 2003, and kinematic physiology research appeared in 2015. Kinematic studies were first published in 2021, the latest. In conclusion, it was found that the research was concentrated in the development process, and the diversity of research topics was also very insufficient. Therefore, research human resources to participate in research on business affairs should be needed, and the securing of university students should be given priority, and their admission to graduate school should be encouraged.
