자동차튜닝 산업 활성화를 위한 전문인력양성 교육프로그램에 관한 연구 = 드레스업 튜닝의 디자인&테크놀로지 융합 교육프로그램을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

정부의 자동차 튜닝산업 진흥대책(2014,6) 발표를 계기로 자동차 튜닝산업이 창조경제의 신성장동력으로 주목받고 있다. 자동차 튜닝산업은 부품 개발, 제조, 판매, 서비스산업이 결합되어 있는 창조산업이다, 세계 자동차튜닝산업은 연 5%씩 성장해 왔으나, 우리나라 튜닝산업은 각종 규제와 부정적 인식으로 활성화 되지 못했다. 튜닝산업이 고부가가치 산업으로 성장하기 위해서는 법제도 개선, 기술 축적과 전문인력양성, 건전한 튜닝 문화 조성이 필요하다. 현재 우리나라 튜닝 인력은 전문적인 양성 기반 없이, 기존의 정비교육을 통해 양성되거나 대체되고 있다. 자동차 정비가 본래대로 원상복구 하는 것이라면, 자동차 튜닝은 기존의 것을 향상시키기 위해 시행하는 것으로, 목적이 다르다. 이 중 외관 향상 직무는 자동차 전체 디자인을 고려할 수 있는 디자인 역량을 요구한다. 이는 자동차 드레스업 튜닝 분야에 있어, 디자인과 기술의 융합교육이 필요함을 시사한다.
본 연구에서는 문헌 조사를 통해 자동차튜닝 산업의 이해, 자동차 튜닝의 분류와 특성, 국내외 자동차튜닝 전문인력 양성현황 및 드레스업 튜닝 분야 요구기술을 고찰하고, 현재 드레스업 튜닝 인력양성 체계의 문제점과, 기술과 디자인 융합 교육의 필요성을 도출하였다. 드레스업 튜닝 전문인력 양성 교육프로그램 개발을 위해 관련 업계 종사자들의 수요를 설문을 통해 파악하고 전문가들 인터뷰를 통해 얻은 의견을 바탕으로 디자인과 기술의 융합 교육프로그램을 제안하였다. 연구의 범위는 자동차 드레스업 튜닝 분야 전문인력 양성을 위한, 기술과 디자인 융합 교육프로그램이고, 요구되는 직무능력은 국가직무능력표준(NCS)상의 직무능력 정의를 바탕으로 도출하였다.
연구결과, 자동차 드레스업튜닝 직무 수행에 있어서 안전과 성능을 살필 수 있는 기술과 차량 전체의 심미성을 향상시킬 수 있는 디자인 능력이 요구됨을 알 수 있었다. 현업의 종사자의 수요로는 전기, 안전, 실내 장치에 대한 교육수요가 높게 나타났고 이에 전문가들은 카랩핑과, 실내조명, 액서사리 튜닝에 대한 과정을 제안하였다. 이들의 의견을 종합해 기술과 디자인 융합 프로그램을 제안했으며, 향후 튜닝 전문인력양성과정 프로그램 구성을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Following the government’s announcement of adopting the policy to promote automotive tuning (June 2014), the automotive tuning industry attracts keen attention as one of the new growth engines of creative economy. The automotive tuning industry is a creative economy that combines a number of relevant industries, including parts development, manufacturing, sales & marketing and services industry. The global automotive tuning industry has grown approximately 5% annually but our domestic tuning industry has yet to be vitalized due to multiple regulations and negative connotations among the general public. Growing the tuning industry into a high value-adding industry requires revision of relevant laws and regulations, enhancing technology and fostering professionals, and building a sound tuning culture. Today, domestic tuning engineers are fostered through or replaced by existing car maintenance education and training instead of professional and systematic educational foundation. The purpose of car maintenance is to restore the original state of a car while the purpose of car tuning is to improve the present condition and performance. Out of multiple tuning techniques, exterior dress-up tuning requires design competencies with a capacity to consider and review the entire automotive design, which calls for a need for a multidisciplinary education that combines design and technology.
Against this backdrop, this study aims to understand the automotive tuning industry, classification and characteristics of different types of automotive tuning, present status of fostering professional tuning technicians and engineers at home and abroad and technologies required for dress-up tuning based on literary investigation, to identify the pending issues and problems in fostering dedicated tuning professionals and to concludes a need to conduct a convergence education that combines design and technology. For development of education programs designed to foster dress-up tuning professionals, surveys have been conducted among those who engage in relevant industries and a convergence education that combines design and technology has been proposed based on opinions collected through interviews with relevant experts and professionals. The scope of the study is the convergence education that combines design and technology designed to foster professionals in dress-up tuning industry with job performance determined based on the job performance defined by National Skill Standard (NCS).
The study has shown that a proper automotive dress-up tuning requires technical skills to deal with the safety and performance of a car and design competencies that will enhance the overall aesthetics of a car. On-site personnel engaging in automotive tuning have shown a strong demand for education and training on electricity, safety and interior equipment and experts have proposed on courses regarding car wrapping, interior lighting and accessory tuning in response. I have proposed a convergence program with technology and design combined together based on these opinions and expect that the research results will serve as basic information to build and organize education programs designed to foster tuning professionals in a systematic and sustainable manner.
