Jeong, Moon-boo, who contributed to overcoming the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, won many battles as the largest righteous army commander in Gwanbuk. Accordingly, he is widely known as a representative figure who has made a contribution to overcoming the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. In this paper, we looked at the development of party politics in the late Joseon Dynasty, remembering and transferring the main gate of the righteous army commander.
Immediately after the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, the implementation of the Neo-Confucianism order was urgent at the national level because it was the time when the party politics was established. Accordingly, King Seonjo and the Gwanghaegun Army organized the figures who were active in the war by lecturing meritorious subjects. The main gate department, which defended the government-run northern region by performing a prominent role as a righteous army commander, was ranked first in the Seonmuwonjonggongsin and received various government posts, including various military affairs.
After King Injo's full-fledged development of Bungdang politics, he tried to establish the foundation of party in the community and gain an advantage over other party in central politics through excavation work on figures and cases that practiced Neo-Confucianism during the Imjin War. The main gate was posthumously awarded to Woo Chan-seong, and Changryeolsa Temple in Jongseong and Hyeonchungsa Temple in Gyeongseong were founded. During the reign of King Hyeonjong, a Buddhist monk was given to Changryeolsa Temple, and during the reign of King Sukjong, he wasgiven the title of Chungui-ran. The first edition of “Nongpojip” was published during King Sukjong's reign, and Choi Chang-dae of Bukpyeongsa Temple built the Bukgwan Battle Monument, and the subjugation of the uprising of map was painted from the late 17th to the late 18th century.
After the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, the memory of the war faded and Tangpyeong politics unfolded as the party politics revealed its harmful effects, efforts were made to regenerate the memories of the Japanese Invasion of Korea to build a social foundation in the community and further lay the foundation for re-entry into central politics. During King Jeongjo's reign, the main gate department was marked as a loyalist and received a favor from the Buddhist monk. The main gate department was enshrined in Cheongamsa Temple in party politics. In addition, during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, the memory of the main gate was passed down in the process of additionally orienting figures who died in Bukdo, but have not yet been enshrined in the shrine. Various combat records and seven transmission maps are included in the practical skills of Kim Kyung-bok and Lee Mong-seo compiled during the reign of King Cheoljong, and the activities of the righteous army in the main gate can be guessed through the Ssangpo Battle Map. During the reign of King Cheoljong, the memorial stone was rebuilt, but it remains in Yongin.
