소그룹활동을 위한 생성형AI 활용사례 연구 - 상호텍스트성에 기반한 창의적 문화예술 활동을 중심으로 - = A Case Study on the Use of Generative AI for Small Group Activities With the focus on creative cultural and artistic activities based on intertextuality

국문 초록 (Abstract)

텍스트와 이미지, 음악 등 다양한 콘텐츠를 생성해내는 생성형 AI의 발전은 인간의 사상, 소통, 의식 세계를 반영하는 ‘텍스트’의 기능과 이해에 새로운 지평을 열고 있다. 이러한 시대적 흐름속에서, 성경이라는 텍스트에 정체성의 뿌리를 두고 있는 기독교는 생성형 AI로 수반된 텍스트 활동의 혁명적 변화에 어떻게 대응할 것인가를 고민하지 않을 수 없다. 물론 급속한 디지털 기술발전 시대를 거듭하면서도 진리의 ‘본질’에 대한 텍스트 활동을 지속해온 기독교공동체는 ‘소그룹’이라는 관계적 단위를 통해 영적 실체를 체화하고 심화해왔다.
본 연구는 텍스트와 텍스트의 관계 속에서 창의적 변주를 일으켜 해석과 이해의 확장을 견인하는 상호텍스트성에 기반하여 생성형 AI를 활용한 소그룹 활동사례를 살펴보고자 한다. 특히 창작과 연계된 문화예술 활동에 집중하여 경험자들의 텍스트 이해와 표현 방식의 확장과 변화를 탐색했다. 선행연구를 통해 생성형 AI는 성경 텍스트를 교육적인 자료로 활용할 수 있음을 살펴보았는데, 텍스트의 내용을 어린이와 청소년들이 이해하기 쉬운 형태로 재구성하거나, 미술, 음악, 영화, 문학, 워크북, 퀴즈, 게임, 활동 등을 포함하는 인터렉티브 학습 교재, 또는 프로그램이 가능했다. 이로써 성경의 가르침을 각 세대 맞춤형으로 전달하는 데에 이바지할 수 있음을 확인한 것이다. 이 같은 텍스트 활동과 이해의 확장은 무엇보다 교회 소그룹 활동에 긍정적 영향을 제공할 수 있다. ‘소그룹’에 대한 정의는 교회의 환경에 따라 조금씩 다르게 정의될 수 있지만, 인간은 자연만물과 하나님에 대하여 ‘관계적 존재’이며 소그룹은 관계적 존재의 본질을 되새기는 기본단위라고 할 수 있다. 하지만 연구조사에 의하면 한국교회 소그룹 운영은 ‘소그룹 리더의 부담, 참여 증진, 협력 강화, 다양성 확대’의 문제점이 나타났다. 이를 고려할 때 본 연구에서 탐색한 소그룹 활동 사례는 몇 가지 유의미한 결과를 보여주는데 이를 열거하면 다음과 같다.
소그룹 활동의 본질인 공감과 소통방식의 다양성을 제공할 수 있다는 점, 참여자들의 흥미와 몰입을 유도하여 참여도를 증진 시킬 수 있다는 점, 인도자(리더)의 역할 부담을 줄이고 참여자들의 자발성과 지속성을 유도할 수 있다는 점, 사회 문제나 국제 이슈를 관찰하고 해석할 수 있는 통찰력을 함양할 수 있다는 점, 텍스트 이해력과 표현력을 향상할 수 있다는 점, 공감과 호응을 통해 공동체에 대한 친밀감, 유대감, 소속감을 얻을 수 있다는 점, 대그룹과 연계성을 가지며 또 다른 상호작용을 이끄는 공동체의 연대를 도모할 수 있다는 점이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The development of Generative AI, which generates various contents such as text, images, and music, is opening a new horizon in the function and understanding of 'text' that reflects the world of human thought, communication, and consciousness. In this trend of the times, Christianity, which has its identity rooted in the text of the Bible, cannot help but think about how to respond to the revolutionary change in text activities that has been accompanied by Generative AI. Of course, the Christian community, which has continued to engage in textual activities on the 'essence' of truth despite the rapid development of digital technology, has embodied and deepened its spiritual reality through a relational unit called a 'small group'.
This study aims to examine cases of small group activities using Generative AI based on intertextuality, which causes creative variations in the relationship between the text and the text, driving the expansion of interpretation and understanding. Focusing on cultural and artistic activities related to creation, we explored the expansion and change of experienced people's text understanding and expression methods. Through previous studies, it was examined that the Generative AI can use the Bible text as an educational material, and it was possible to reconstruct the contents of the text in an easy-to-understand form for children and adolescents, or to reconstruct the contents of the text in an interactive learning textbook or program including art, music, film, literature, workbooks, quizzes, games, and activities. Through this, it was confirmed that it can contribute to the customization of the teachings of the Bible to each generation. Such textual activities and expansion of understanding can provide positive influences on small group activities of churches, above all else. It explains that humans and all things are fundamentally relational beings. Small groups are places of meeting and environments that satisfy these human relational desires.
Considering the "burden of small group leaders, increased participation, strengthened cooperation, and expanded diversity" that emerged as a problem in the operation of small groups of Korean churches, the small group activity cases explored in this study show some significant results, which are listed as follows. It can provide a diversity of empathy and communication methods, which are the essence of small group activities; it can induce interest and immersion of participants to increase participation; it can reduce the role burden of leaders and induce voluntary and persistence of participants; it can cultivate insights to observe and interpret social issues or international issues; it can improve text comprehension and expressive power; it can gain intimacy, bond and belonging to the community through empathy and response; it can promote community solidarity that connects with large groups and leads to another interaction.
