幼兒의 食品 및 食習慣이 유치우식증에 미치는 影響에 關한 硏究 = A study on the effects of diet to deciduous dental caries in Korean kindergarten children

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In order to evaluate the effects of diet on deciduous dental caries, the author investigated a questionnaire to 538 male and female kindergarten children and examined the time for weaning, kinds of nursing, weaning foods, frequency of between meal snacks, favorite foods, frequency of tooth-brushing, mouth rinsing, body weight, and surveyed df rate, and df index. Thereafter, the data from a questionnaire and dental caries prevalence rate were analysised and evaluated.
The obtained results were as follows.
1. For the beginning of the time for weaning, Children, who had weaned from 6∼8 months after birth revealed the most frequency as 42.9%. Especially, children who were nursed with milk and mixed milk showed early weaning time, while with mother's milk showed late weaning time.
2. df rate according to the kinds of nursing: df rate by milk revealed 78.3%, by mother's milk revealed 80.4% and by mixed milk revealed 87.2%.
3. For weaning food, the case which is formed by breads and cakes revealed higher df index (49.7%) than df index (45.6%) by gruels. df rate (44%) in the case which the children were nursed with milk or mixed milk and ate breads or cakes or gruels revealed lower than df rate (54.5%) in the case which with mother's milk and ate breads, cakes or gruels.
4. It was revealed that the more frequency of between meal snacks the Children had, the higher df index the children had.
5. For df rate according to the kinds of between meal snacks, it was revealed that the Children who ate chocolates and cookies showed high df rate (47%). The Children who were nursed with milk and ate chocolate or cookies had lower df rate (38.4%) than df rate which they were nursed with mother's milk or mixed milk and ate chocolates or cookies had. Imother's milk 56.1%, mixed milk 46.1%.)
6. For df index according to favorite foods, df index (4.5) in the case which the children like the kinds of noodle revealed especially higher than df index (3.0) in the case which they like meats.
For meats, it was revealed that the children who were nursed by milk (2.4) or mixed milk (2.5) had lower df index than by mother's milk (3.2)
7. For df index according to the frequency of tooth brushing, it's obtained results were as follows.
no time - df index 3.4
One time - df index 3.8
two times - df index 3.6
more than three times - df index 3.2
8. It was revealed that the children who gargled had df index 3.6 and those who did not gargle had 3.9 df index.
9. For df index according to age, it was revealed that four years old children had df index 2.5, ad five had df index 3.5 and six had df index 4.1.
10. For df rate according to age, it was revealed that four years old children had 66.7% df rate, five had 80.9% df rate and six had 86.1% df rate.
