화란개혁주의 관점에서 조명한 개혁주의생명신학 = Reformed Life Theology from the Perspective of Dutch Reformed Theology

This article studies how the core value of the Christian Gospel, “the Kingdom of God,” should be interpreted in relation to the theological theme of “Church and State” from the perspective of the Reformed perspective. First, with the methodology of the historical theology, I study the Dutch Reformed theology in the early modern era of the sixteenth century interprets the Kingdom of God, and examine how the Reformed Life Theology interprets this theme. In the end, the Reformed Life Theology is illuminated from the viewpoint of the Dutch Reformed.
According to Dutch Reformed Theology, the Kingdom of God begins with a spiritual Kingdom where the Word of God is proclaimed and sinners gain the life. Faced with the rising problems of the Korean church and theology, Reformed Life Theology also finds a solution in the Gospel of Life of Jesus Christ. In this respect, Reformed Life Theology shows theological characteristics consistent with Dutch Reformed Theology.
The Dutch Reformed Church was able to actively and positively contribute to modern history by applying Calvin’s theology of the Kingdom of God to the dynamic situation of the Netherlands, which was developing into a modern united republic. Calvin and the Dutch Reformed Theology understood the Kingdom of God as God's dual rule, and emphasized that the state must have the justice, while Church and State that carry out the reign of God are distinguished. Reformed Life Theology clearly interprets the Kingdom movement as a movement that realizes the lordship of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit in all areas of faith and life. In this context, an in-depth study of the Reformed Life Theology on God’s reign through the State and society is required.
The history of Dutch Reformation shows that when the Christians, who gained the life of salvation through the Word of God, lived according to their faith in the Kingdom of God, they contributed to the opening of modern civil society, as well as to the Dutch Reformed Church.
Reformed Life Theology, which has a clear orientation to the Kingdom of God, is also expected to make a historical contribution to supplying spiritual life to the secularized and power less modern church and theological world and establishing God's justice in the modern society.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 기독교 복음의 핵심 가치인 “하나님 나라”가 “교회와 국가”라고 하는 신학적 주제와 관련해서 어떻게 해석되어야하는지 개혁주의 관점에서 연구한다. 먼저 16세기 근세 초 화란개혁주의 신학은 하나님 나라를 어떻게 해석하고 있는지 역사신학적으로 고찰하며, 개혁주의생명신학은 이 주제를 어떻게 해석하고 있는지를 살펴본다. 결국 화란개혁주의의 관점에서 개혁주의생명신학을 조명한다.
화란개혁주의에 의하면 하나님의 나라는 하나님의 말씀이 선포되어 죄인이 생명을 얻게 되는 영적인 나라에서 시작한다. 한국 교회와 신학의 한계 상황을 직면하면서 개혁주의생명신학도예수 그리스도의 생명의 복음에서 해결을 찾는다. 이런 면에서 개혁주의생명신학은 화란 개혁주의와 일치되는 신학적 특징을보여주고 있다.
화란 개혁교회는 칼빈의 하나님 나라 신학을 근대적 연방공화국으로 발전하던 네덜란드의 역동적 상황에 적용함으로 근세 역사에 적극적이고 긍정적으로 공헌할 수 있었다. 칼빈과 화란개혁주의는 하나님의 나라를 하나님의 이중의 통치로 이해하면서 하나님의 통치를 수행하는 교회와 국가는 구별되면서도 국가는 반드시 정의로와야 한다고 강조했다. 개혁주의생명신학은 하나님나라운동을 신앙과 삶의 모든 영역에서 성령의 도우심을 통해 예수 그리스도의 주되심을 실현하는 운동이라고 명확하게 해석해내고 있다. 이런 맥락에서 국가와 사회를 통한 하나님의 통치에대한 개혁주의생명신학의 심화된 연구가 요청된다.
화란 개혁주의 역사는 하나님의 말씀으로 구원의 생명을 얻은성도들이 하나님 나라 신앙대로 살아갔을 때 교회를 살릴 뿐 아니라 근대 시민사회가 열리는 데 공헌하게 되었다는 것을 보여준다. 하나님 나라 지향성이 선명한 개혁주의생명신학도 세속화되고 무기력해진 현대 교회와 신학계에 영적 생명을 공급하고 하나님의 정의를 세우기 위한 역사적 공헌이 있기를 기대한다.
