서울시 초중고 교원대상 자살예방지킴이 교육 효과성 검증에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Effect of the Suicide Gatekeeper Training for Elementary, Middle and High School Teachers in Seoul

국문 초록 (Abstract)

. 연구목적 : 본 연구는 ‘교원을 위한 자살예방지킴이교육(Gatekeeper Training)’이 교내에서 자살위험 청소년을 조기발견하고 연계함에 있어 결정적인 역할을 할 수 있는 교원의 자살예방 인식도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 검증하는데 목적이 있다.

. 연구방법 : 2018년 서울시자살예방센터를 중심으로 개발된 ‘교원을 위한 자살예방지킴이 교육’을 통해 자살에 대한 오해와 편견에 대한 인식변화 여부를 검증하기 위하여 2018년 9월 13일부터 10월 5일까지 서울시 내 초·중·고 5곳의 교원 107명에게 교육 전·후 동일한 설문을 진행한 후 사전사후변화를 분석하고자 SPSS 18.0을 통해 대응표본 T검정을 실시하였다.

. 연구결과 : ‘교원을 위한 자살예방지킴이 교육’을 참여하기 전과 참여한 후 ‘자살에 대한 오해’를 대응표본 T검정 실시한 결과 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

. 결 론 : 서울시자살예방센터에서 개발된 ‘교원을 위한 자살예방 지킴이 교육’이 초·중·고 교원들의 자살예방활동에 중요 요인이라고 할 수 있는 자살에 대한 오해와 편견을 감소시키는데 도움을 줌으로써 효과성이 검증되었다.

. Objective : The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of the ‘Suicide Gatekeeper Training for teachers' awareness of suicide prevention which can play a crucial role in early detection and connection with adolescents at risk for suicide.

. Methods : ‘Suicide Gatekeeper Training for teachers' developed by Seoul Suicide Prevention Center in 2018 was conducted for 107 elementary, middle, and high school teachers within the city of Seoul, We conducted the same questionnaire before and after the training to verify whether any misperception and bias on suicide change. Then, a paired sample t-test was performed by using SPSS 18.0 to analyze the pre-post change.

. Results : As a result of the paired t-test, a statistically significant pre-post difference was found before and after participating in the Suicide Gatekeeper Training for teachers. Conclusion : The study suggests that the ‘Suicide Gatekeeper Training for teachers developed by the Seoul Suicide Prevention Center is useful in reducing the misperception and bias on suicide, which are important factors in suicide prevention activities of elementary, middle, and high school teachers
