전라북도립국악원 교재의 특성과 의의 고찰 = Characteristics and Meaning of the Textbook by North ChOlla Provincial Kugak Center

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper examines meaning of textbooks and characteristics of each subject and the age based on a series of 37 textbooks published as the textbook of education for 28 years, from 1986 to 2014 in North ChOlla Provincial Kugak Center (ChOlla puktorip KugagwOn 全羅北道立國樂院). As a result of examining those characteristics, there was no enough time for making the textbooks for each subject and no in charge of researcher for the textbooks made from 1986 to 1991. Therefore people made the best use of the temporary textbooks focused on the theory of an overall kugak 國樂, Korean traditional music without a compiler. Noh Pok-sun 盧福順 and Ryu Chang-yOng 柳庄暎 who worked in a art office primarily published the textbooks from 1992 to 2002 and those textbooks set up systematic educational contents as a process of basic class, research class and specialized class. SO KyOng-suk 徐敬淑 published the textbooks from 2003 to 2014, focusing on the contents of practical class in all subject except for dancing class. After inspecting characteristics of each subject closely by focusing on the textbooks having been published since 2003, the textbook of kayagOm 伽倻琴, Korean zither with twelve strings, has 6 Western scale (24%) and 19 Korean scale (76%) out of 25 music examples. The textbook of kOmun``go 거문고, Korean musical instrument with six strings, six-stringed Korean zither, has 6 Western scale of children``s songs (19.3%), 3 pop and Western songs (9.6%), 8 Korean scale of folk songs (25.8%), 1 classic and another song (3.2%) and 13 instrument songs (41.9%). The textbook of kayagOm has unique type that consist of 42% instrumental piece of Korean scale compared with other textbooks. The textbook of taegUm 大今, wind instrument, was published evenly by each genre. And it has high rate of korean scale such as 40% Western scale and 60% Korean scale. The textbook of tanso 短簫, short bamboo flute, has various type of song but there is no Korean song. In the case of textbook of vocal song, there are some common things in a sect, rhythm, characteristics and explanation of music and footnote. But the textbook of folk song is the only thing that has method of reading the score and the textbook of p``ansori 판소리 is the only thing that has the composition. By inspecting the significance of textbook, the degree of academic contribution is low, but the transition of textbook has a material value of considering the history of the kugak orchestra by reflecting human conditions such as compilers and understanding teaching method of those subjects and a change process of learning content. Teaching materials such as folk song books, the kayaUgm pyOngch``ang 伽倻琴倂唱 book by Kang ChOng-ryOl 姜貞烈, and kayagUm, books came into use at the Kugak Center and widely used by people who learn kugak as well. So, it contributed to the expanding base of the traditional music. In addition, the teaching materials used in the Kugak Center also contributed to generalizing the use of systematic and modern education materials turning away from traditional method of education by oral.
