고등학교 학생들의 인터넷 이용과 사이버폭력에 관한 연구 : 부천시 인문계 고등학교를 중심으로 = (A) study on web usage and cyber-violence among high school students : focusing on high school students in Bucheon city

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Significant differences in patients' characteristics were evaluated with the use of the Chi-Square test. p＜.05(Two-sided P values of less than 0.05) was considered to indicate statistical significance.
Among 560 questionnaires, we got 524 cases and included 492 completed questionnaires in the analysis of statistical significance.
The result of this study on the use of the Internet are as follows ;
More than half the students investigated use the internet 2 or 3 times or so a week and once they start using the internet, they spend at least for half an hour through 1 hour. The students use the internet for the most part at home and the purpose of using the internet is to play games. The students spending less time on the internet showed higher learning performance and efficient assignment processing skills. The purposes of the internet for these students were to check out emails and to browse the information. On the contrary, the students spending more time on the internet use the internet for listening to music, playing games and searching some gossips about the entertainers, the investigated parents allow their children to use the internet within a given time and most of the students recognize that the use of the internet is of help.
Though the students regard the internet as a helpful tool to their learning, in the meantime, they think it can do harm to their health.
The students use the internet for a long time have bad habits to break and feel the necessity to lessen the internet using time. The outcomes of the research analysis on the cyber-violence are as follows ;
Half the students experienced cyber-violence on the process of playing the online computer games. The types of cyber-violence were mainly linguistic such as insulting, intimidating and mocking. The offenders were unknown people in most cases, lots of students the investigated felt like counteracting in the same ways. Especially, the majority of girl students felt nervous after experiencing cyber-violence above and were reluctant to use the internet. 17.9％ of the respondents said they did cyber-violence to others. Male students and internet addicts showed more cyber-violence oriented behaviors.
Most of the students said that they felt amused after using cyber-violence on the unknown on the internal and they showed no sense of guilty at all. 17.9％ of the cyber-violence victims got help from their parents and friends.
The conclusion of this study are as follows ;
First, The students should learn the right way to use the internet from the beginning for the purpose of promoting indefinite development.
Accordingly they can minimize the side effects of the internet and improve the quality of life through the right use of the internet.
Second, it's very important for the teachers to recognize the seriousness and assault that can be brought on from of cyber-violence and then to guide the students in their right internet use.
The schools should also train teachers so that they can give effective advisory guidance to students exposed to cyber-violence.
Third, guidance for higher Internet communication morals is strongly recommended to uplift the sense of responsibility on students' behaviors and to make the students recognize the Internet morals and the punishment regulations caused by doing cyber-violence.
Finally, schools should comprehend correctly the realities of cyber-violence and guide accordingly. Parents need to show lasting interest to their children for getting open-hearted and sound internet use environment. Communities also should improve upon the commercial and harmful environment of society and acknowledge the need to promote moralities.
