교과와 인문·생태체험을 연계한 인성교육 자료 개발 = Development of Instructional Materials for Experience-Oriented Character Education Linked Chi-won Choi’s Life Re-examination with Subject

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 교과와 연계한 인성교육의 내실화를 위해 인문고전교육과 생태·인문·문화 관광을 활용한 체험중심의 실천적 인성교육 자료를 개발하는 것이다. 연구의 이론적 기초로서 고전 작가 최치원의 생애와 사적 재조명, 교과연계 인성교육, 고전 교과의 정체성, 인문·생태관광을 활용한 인성교육을 중심으로 고찰하였다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 수행된 연구 내용을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고전 작가 최치원의 생애를 재조명 했으며, 고전 교과와 인성교육의 교수·학습 자료로서 교육현장 적용 가능성을 제시하였다. 특히, 그의 생애에서 나타나는 ‘희망과 긍정’, ‘고난 극복의 도전’ 등 감화 이야기에 주목할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 고전 작가와 교과교육을 연계한 인성교육 자료를 개발함으로써, 2015 개정 국어과 교육과정 중 『고전 읽기』 교과서 부재에 따른 현장 교사의 우려를 해소하고, 현장 활용 가능성을 제시하였다. 셋째, 최치원과 연계된 인문·생태·문화 관광지를 제시함으로써, 비교과 체험활동과 연계한 인성교육의 가능성을 살펴보았다. 최치원을 주제로 한 생태·인문·문화관광 체험활동 개발은 인간의 정신 회복, 자연과의 소통, 지역 전통문화 발전에 지대한 공헌이 있을 것으로 기대된다. 결론적으로 최치원의 생애 자체가 청소년들에게 바람직한 삶의 방향을 가리키는 나침반이 될 것이다. 이에 학교현장에서는 국어과 『고전 읽기』와 인성교육 자료로서 적극적으로 활용할 가치가 있다. 추가하여 교과연계 체험중심의 인성교육 활성화를 위해 선현에 대한 재조명 작업이 우선시 되어야 할 것이다. 이와 더불어 인문·생태·문화 체험과 연계할 수 있는 범교과 인성교육 교수·학습 설계에 대한 후속 연구를 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to develop instructional materials of experience-oriented character education using classical education and ecology, humanities, and cultural tourism for improvement of character education linked with subjects. As a theoretical basis of the study, the life and historical reappearance of classical artist Choi, Chiwon, character education factors associated with curriculum, identity of classical subjects, and character education using humanities and ecotourism were reviewed. The results of the research are summarized as follows: Firstly, it suggested the applicability of the Choi, Chi-won’s life and accomplishment as a teaching and learning materials for character education. Especially, it is necessary to pay attention to the story of influence such as ‘hope and affirmation’ and ‘challenge of overcoming hardship’ appearing in Choi’s life. Secondly, we have solved the concerns of field teachers due to the lack of textbooks of ‘classical reading’ in the 2015 revised Korean language curriculum and suggested the possibility of field application by eveloping materials for character education linked classical writers with curriculum education. Lastly, we have also examined the possibility of character education in connection with non-subject activities by presenting the humanities, ecology and cultural attractions associated with Choi. It is expected that the development of ecology, humanities, cultural tourism experience activities on the theme of Choi, Chi-won will make a great contribution to the restoration of human mental, communication with nature, and development of local traditional culture. In conclusion, Choi’s life itself will be a compass pointing to the desirable direction of life for the youth. Therefore, it is worth to actively utilize it as a ‘classical reading’ and the materials for character education in the school setting. In addition, rehabilitation of great scholar’s work should be prioritized in order to revitalize character education with the curriculum. It also proposed a follow-up study on instructional design for various subjects and character education that can be linked with humanities, ecology and cultural experiences.
