Japanese Shogi also embraces the professional go player who exceeds close to ten million fans and one hundred and fifty people at present with history in more than 1000 years. It`s an established theory that Japanese shogi belongs to the affiliates of a board game which makes CHATORANGA in ancient India an origin. But other national games will be Changi, and the Shogi is also different in shape of the board and the piece as well as rule. I demonstrate that such originality derives from a Buddhist tale by this presenting research. It has been argued by a researcher of playing Historical Society of Japan and a certain professional go player about beginning of Japanese shogi. The argument is done variously, but I agree that "origin of a rule of Japanese shogi" is being identified with "origin of Japanese shogi" both. Chinese augury changes beginning of a male of a board game. And I think that is suggestive. The board and pieces was formed at the beginning, and a rule was put there. I guess Shogi board and pieces to have been formed preceded by the rule. There are four legs with eight prisms which take on the roundness on the reverse eight pyramids, and the shape of the Japanese shogi board or the leg of the go board is supporting a plank. A board leg is called "KUCHINASHI , gardenia" vulgarly, but specialists of board making guess me to have symbolized the Sumeru where I say this to a Buddhist tale. In other words, Shogi board was a ‘place by the fight of gods’. I have shown some phrases from ancient literatures which provide evidence for my idea. It`s also related to originality of the name of the piece and the shape of the Shogi that Shogi board symbolized the Sumeru. "Inferior player`s king in Japanese chess, gold general, knight and rook..." all scriptures are well-founded for the name of the shogi piece from Buddhism sutras. I think the shape of the Shogi pieces which doesn`t see an example in the world as the pentagon of the bottom spread derives from Buddhism flag. The head of the flag is a triangle and the body is rectangular, so I have a pentagon shaped like squid as the whole. The flag is employed as the Buddhist altar fittings which show the respective Buddhism warriors. Such warriors lined up on the board and that were, I believe, the origin of Shogi. This in which a chosen piece equals flag of divine soldiers guesses "origin of shogi" on the chosen board in Sumeru. For example Japanese aristocrat culture miniaturized object or scenery characteristic of the traditionally like "SUHAMA , beach with shoals", and there was a custom enjoyed as a decor. "SUHAMA" which shows the state of the Buddhism warriors` battle of the Sumeru world met a shogi board. That may be one by which a scripture basis also matched the flank as a kind of religion act because I had that. In other words, Shogi board and pieces were significant in its own shape, so wasn`t it a secondary problem how to employ as playing? Shogi was embodiment of a Buddhist tale.
