AI Game Experience Design and Immersion Assessment: Analysis of Game Healing Effects

This study begins with an assessment of the impact of artificial intelligence and virtual reality technology-enhanced gaming experiences on the immersion and psychological healing effects of players of different genders. The initial focus is on understanding how these advanced technologies can influence the gaming experience, particularly in terms of emotional and psychological engagement. The aim of this study is to pay special attention to the role of facial capture technology in emotional expression and to explore its importance in enhancing the interaction and emotional resonance between players and game characters. This technology allows for more nuanced and realistic portrayals of emotions in game characters, which can, in turn, affect how players perceive and react to these characters. Therefore, this paper engages in the practice of comparatively analyzing the perceptions of game healing effects of players of different genders, aiming to uncover any differences and similarities in their experiences.
The research model includes three core elements: facial expression capture technology, VR-enhanced gaming experience, and psychological healing effect.
The methodology primarily involves data analysis from players of different genders, utilizing a combination of questionnaire surveys and experimental design. By collecting and examining data on players' emotional responses and psychological states during gameplay, the study seeks to analyze the significance of facial expression capture technology in emotional expression and its specific impact on psychological healing effects.
The findings and contents of the study are as follows. First, the game experience enhanced by artificial intelligence and virtual reality technology significantly improved players' immersion and psychological healing effects. This enhancement is attributed to the more immersive and emotionally engaging environment created by these technologies, which can lead to deeper involvement and greater emotional relief. Second, there were differences in players' perceptions of the importance of facial expression capture technology in emotional expression across genders. Specifically, female players showed higher emotional resonance and healing effects compared to their male counterparts. This suggests that female players might be more sensitive to emotional cues provided by facial capture technology, leading to a stronger psychological impact.
Based on such findings, the study concludes that AI games are not only a form of entertainment but also have potential psychotherapeutic functions. They can serve as a tool for emotional and psychological support, offering benefits beyond mere enjoyment. It meets the diverse experiential needs of players by providing an engaging and emotionally supportive environment. Furthermore, the study provides a theoretical basis and empirical support for further optimizing game design and enhancing psychotherapeutic effects. These insights can be used by game developers to create more effective and emotionally engaging gaming experiences, potentially benefiting players' mental health and well-being.
