『Seongho Saseol(星湖僿說)』 is a collection of small theories that cannot be put in order or literary collection by Sung-ho, while 『Seongho Saseol』 is a representative work of Seongho Gyeonghak(經學), which was intentionally acquired through intensive research for more than 20 years. Just as Zhu Xi(朱熹) devoted his life's energy to 『daehak(大學)』 and 『joongyong中庸)),』 while interpreting the scriptures, Seong-ho also said, "There are only two books in 『daehak(大學)』 and 『joongyong(中庸)』 that a person will study." Seong-ho set the ultimate goal of Gyeonghak research on Soogi(修己) and AnIn(安人). The handwriting that Seong-ho refers to is to establish one's own moral subject, and to complete one's personality by practicing through self-knowledge. AnIn(安人) is to prepare a plan to save people's livelihoods by applying reality through self-knowledge (自得), and this can include all concepts of Anmin(安民) and Boomin(富民). In other words, it is a scholar's natural task to enrich the people's livelihood studying useful things in the world. Seong-ho focused on the study of Gyeonghak(經學), but he did not neglect to create poetry, leaving 1,100 poems. Seong-ho's poetic world is diverse, but in particular, how to control the mind is expressed in poetry. "Seongho's 僿說" reveals Seongho's interest in various fields. Seongho made moderation a daily life through food. He said that the scholar should make it a rule of law to live in poverty. He said that if he studies to overcome his own self-interest for a long time in everyday life and makes it a habit, he will be comfortable like nature. He said that poverty is natural for the scholar. I thought that if it was a world where everyone could not live well together, the scholar should be a person who chose poverty. Seong-ho criticized the society at the time when Seoreol(庶孽) was not treated like a person and did not open a government post. Seong-ho perceived wealth negatively and had a negative idea about the circulation of money. Seong-ho said that the only thing to do is to gain government posts, rust sticks, power and wealth. And it can be seen that he has a prejudice against women. Seong-ho said that women do not have to read, and that it is not desirable to neglect silkworms and weaving, and use energy in writing. Seong-ho's studies and ideas had a great influence on others. Leftist Kwon Chul-shin(權哲身) and rightist Ahn Jung-bok(安鼎福) are the disciples of Seong-ho.
