This study aims to examine the theme consciousness of the poems(悲秋詩) which are sad about the autumn in the collection of the Kyungguk(經國集), and the Japanese literature in the early 9th century was a Chinese style, especially when Chinese poetry flourished. Rather, this period is called the period of the Chinese style or the era of the disappearance of the Japanese style in Japanese literature history. The motif of mourning autumn has long been appearing in Chinese poetry. Among the works in the collection of the Kyungkuk, 35 poems mourning autumn are written. The image and its meaning of this poem are as follows. ‘Autumn Mountain’ pursues the pursuit of fresh space beyond the world, ‘Lonely Geese’ exists as a landscape as a combination with autumn night, but it goes to a lonely self-appearance with a distance from the present age. Chrysanthemums bloomed on September 9 became motifs seeking a leisurely mind in the changes of time. The poems that mourn this fall are based on the poetic traditions of East Asia, which is understood to have played a role in the Japanese Heian era in promoting East Asian universal culture.In the future, it is necessary to compare the poetic traditions of East Asia and to reveal the individuality of each country.
