실태조사를 이용한 아파트 단위평면의 공간구성 방식에 관한 연구 : 전주시 분양 면적 24평과 32평형의 아파트를 중심으로 = A Study on the Composition of Spaces in Unit Pan of Apartment Using Survey of Actual Condition

The western-style apartment house has become a dominant housing type in urban areas in less than 40 years since it was introduced to Korea in 1961. This is partly because apartment house is comfortable to live in and the Korean government has promoted the spread of apartment houses for some social and political reasons. But most of all the main reason for its relatively fast spread is that the housing type is suitable for urban life. In this regard, this paper presents basic data on the principles of organizing each interior space by investigating into and analyzing the actual life and the behavior pattern of the dwellers of apartments ranging from 60㎡ to 85㎡ the size of public housing units. The data will become au important planning factor in establishing principles of apartment house plans.
Furthermore, the paper shows au appropriate arrangement of public spaces and private spaces, which makes up for the defects of the existing floor plans, and the connection among public spaces and proposes a new sort of common-use room. Accordingly, this work provides data that can be used to design dwelling space where lives are reflected. And the paper examines traditional lifestyles and their changes shown in the floor plans and analyses and summarizes the characteristics of unit plans of Korean-style apartment houses where different housing styles coexist harmoniously.
Appropriate space arrangement and composition in a given space facilitate housework and secure stability of family life. And establishing the connections among spaces and placing suitable transitional spaces can both protect privacy and encourage communal life at the same time.
