韓國 電氣電子製品 製造業의 品質管理活動의 特性에 對한 硏究 = A Research On the Properties Of the Quality Control Activities Of the Korean Industry Of Electric And Electronic Products

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this treatise, I studied about Korean quality control circle movement (or Factory Saemaul Undong) in the industry of electric products.
According to a recent research, 81.9% of joint stock companies of manufacturing participate in this movement in Korea.
In the year of 1984, there are 76,932 QC circles in 3,179 enterprises.
And 769,911 workers take part in this movement.
But this QC circle movement is originated from Japan, it is important to manage this movement in accordance with the environments in Korea.
So, I studied about the quality of this movement and the properties of good QC circles selected to the national QC circle contest in comparison with average QC circles.
I analyzed the data from publications of Factory Saemaul Undong Center and Korean Standard Association with analysis of contingency tables.
In this study, I found out following facts:
1. About the condition of QC circle activities in the period of 1981∼1984.
1) In 62% of enterprises the headquarter of QC circle activity is QC department and in 38% of enterprises it is department of general affairs or Factory Saemaul Undong Movement department.
2) Difficulties in QC circle activity are excessive expenditure (24%), ignorance of QC techniques (21%), lack of positivity in part of workers (20%) and others (35%).
3) About 63% of people in enterprises evaluated their QC circle activity affirmatively and others thought their activity needed to be improved.
4) They discussed following themes in QC circle meetings: quality control (26%), saving of materials (21%), improvement of process (21%) and others (32%).
5) More enterprises raise the salary of workers who take part in the QC circle that achieved good result than past.
2. About the properties of good QC circles in comparison with the average QC circles.
1) They achieved good result in quality control than other themes.
2) Increase of salary affects the effectiveness of QC circle movement.
3) Circle of more than or equal to 11 persons achieved better result than that of less than or equal to 10 persons.
4) The more they meet, the better result they achieved.
