텔레비전 드라마에 나타난 인공지능에 대한 불안의 의미 = The Meaning of Anxiety about Artificial Intelligence in TV Dramas

Anxiety about artificial intelligence in TV dramas such as <Park Sung-sil’s Fourth IndustrialRevolution> (tvN, 2021), the web drama <She Artificial Intelligence> (New Plus Original, 2020), and<Nursing> (MBC, 2020) Analyze how it is being reproduced and its meaning. In <Park Sung -sil'sFourth Industrial Revolution>, the real danger of technology stems from the danger it poses tothe existence of humanity by homogenizing and enslaving entities in the name of progress. Theabsorption of counseling techniques based on the personal characteristics of Park Sung-sil andhis colleagues by AI has thematic significance. This scene hints at the danger that humans willbe ‘driven’ to disposable disposables and thus lose the freedom and opportunity to reveal theirconcealed existence. This is the fundamental anxiety caused by the modern technology of artificialintelligence. <Artificial Intelligence Girl> depicts the situation of a human being degenerated into adisposable disposable product due to the driving of artificial intelligence technology at the levelof the individual body. Technology that causes the separation of mind and body is a technologyin the modern sense that has been reduced to a means or method, and in Heidegger’s view, itblocks the opportunity for beings to appear and hinders the liberation of beings. The technologicalanxiety reproduced in <Artificial Intelligence She> is derived from the separation of mind andbody, and comes from dividing beings into subjects and objects, and violently reducing them tothe metaphysical dichotomy. In <Nursing>, the arbitrariness of the standardized cultural imageassigned to humans and machines is exposed. Shaking the conventional basis of the metaphysicaldichotomy of subject and object given to the signifiers of man and machine, Nursing's last cry showsopenness to existence and liberating transformation. Of course, this scene creates technological anxietyin humans because it throws away the will that humans can dominate machines. However, unlikethe previous dramas, the anxiety here is the anxiety elicited by technology as techne, a poetic catalystfor humans, and can be said to be anxiety for human ontological transformation. So, whiletechnology is a threat to humans, it also has the power to save. Technological anxiety at the endof <Nursing> makes us perceive both the danger and the power of salvation inherent in technology.
