익스트림 스포츠 참가와 몰입경험 및 생활만족의 관계 = The Correlation between Participating in the Extreme Sports, and the Flow Experience and the Satisfaction of Life

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 익스트림 스포츠 참가와 몰입경험 및 생활만족의 관계를 규명 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 2009년 현재 서울, 경기지역에서 각 종목별 시설 단체(윈드서핑, 스킨·스쿠버다이빙, 산악자전거, 스키·보드, 패러글라이딩, 스카이다이빙)와 동호회 소속 및 이용자를 기본 모집단으로 설정 한 후 2009년 10월 9일∼10일 서울 뚝섬유원지에서 개최된 ‘전국 윈드서핑 대회’에 참가한 동호인, 2009년 10월 17일 38마린 리조트에서 개최된 ‘친목 다이빙 정규 모임’의 참가자, 2009년 10월 11일 지산리조트에서 개최된 서울 10개 지역, 경기 4지역 ‘스키·보드 연합 발산체육대회’에 참가한 동호인, 2009년 10월 25일 지산 포레스트 리조트 ‘MTB파크 대회’의 참가자, 활공장(용인 정광산, 양평 유명산, 문경)이용 동호인 및 2009년 9월 27일 개최된 ‘문경새재 배 전국 패러글라이딩 대회’의 참가자, 2009년 9월 6일, 2009년 10월 18일 미사리 특전사 고공 강하 훈련장 이용 시설 참가자 모집단으로 추가 설정한 후, 판단표본추출법(judgment sampling)을 사용하여 총 420명을 표집하고 360명의 설문지를 유효 표본으로 분석에 이용하였다.
자료수집을 위한 도구는「익스트림 스포츠 활동을 통한 참여자의 몰입경험 및 생활만족에 대한 조사」이라는 설문지를 사용하였다. 몰입경험 척도는 Scanlan(1993)의 ESCM(Expansion of Commitment Model) 을 기초로 정용각(1997)이 우리나라의 설정에 맞게 개발하고 김건철(1999), 이종호(2001), 김남용(2004), 이광수(2004), 박동규(2008)등의 연구에 사용된 운동 몰입 척도를 본 연구의 목적에 부합되도록 필요한 부분만을 발췌하여 수정 보안하여 사용하였다. 생활만족을 측정하기 위하여 Dinner와 Emmonson, Larsen, Griffth(1985)이 개발하고 Won(1989)과 이종길(1992)이 번역한 것을 이제홍(1994), 김건철(1999), 이종호(2001), 서수연(2007)등의 연구에 사용된 생활만족척도(SWLS: satisfaction with life scale)를 기초로 작성 하여 본 연구의 목적에 부합되도록 필요한 부분만을 발췌하여 수정 보안하여 사용하였다.
타당성 검증을 위해 탐색적 요인분석 (Exploratory Factor Analysis)을 실시하였으며, 설문지의 신뢰도는 Cronbach's α 방법을 사용하여 검증하였다.
자료분석을 위하여 본 연구에서 사용한 통계분석 기법은 SPSS Window 12.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 교차분석, t-test, 일원변량분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다.
이와 같은 연구방법 및 절차를 통하여 이 연구에서는 다음과 같은 결론을 도출 하였다.
첫째, 사회 인구학적 특성에 따른 참가종목의 차이를 검증한 결과 성별을 제외 한 연령, 결혼유무, 학력, 가계소득에서 유의한 차이가 있다.
둘째, 사회 인구학적 특성에 따른 몰입경험 및 생활만족의 차이를 검증한 결과 몰입경험과 생활만족은 부분적으로 유의한 차이가 있다.
셋째, 익스트림 스포츠 참가가 몰입경험에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 익스트림 스포츠 참가(기간, 빈도, 시간)는 빈도를 제외하고 몰입경험에 영향을 미친다.
넷째, 익스트림 스포츠 참가가 생활만족에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 익스트림 스포츠 참가(기간, 빈도, 시간)는 빈도를 제외하고 생활만족에 영향을 미친다.
다섯째, 익스트림 스포츠 참가의 몰입경험이 생활만족에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 익스트림 스포츠 몰입경험(인지몰입, 행위몰입)은 생활만족에 영향을 미친다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify the correlation between participating in the extreme sports, and the flow experience and the satisfaction of life.
The subjects of this research were sampled by the Judgement Sampling Method ; collected at the size of 420 participants of the extreme sports and sorted the valid samples of 360 papers of them. The universe of sampling was the users and members of the extreme sports team and the extreme sports club in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do of Repubic of Korea : windsurfing, skin․scuba-diving, mountain-bike riding, ski, snowboard, paragliding and skydiving.
The instrument for data acquisition was the question's sheet named of "the Research on the Effect of Participating in the Extreme Sports, in the Flow Experience and the Satisfaction of Life". I used the measure of flow experience that was developed by Jung Yong-Gak(1997) ; based on ESCM(Expantion of Commitment Model) of Scanlan(1993). It was also used for the studies of Kim Kun-Chul(1999), Lee Jong-Ho(2001), Kim Nam-Young(2004), Park Dong-Kyu(2008) etc. And to measure the satisfaction of life, I used SWLS(Satisfaction with Life Scale) that was developed by Dinner, Emmonson, Larson and Griffth(1985) and translated by Won(1989) and Lee Jong-Gil(1992). It was also used for the studies of Lee Je-Hong(1994), Kim Kun-Chul(1999), Lee Jong-Ho(2001), Seo Su-Yun (2007), etc. I extracted some parts of the measures that were needed for my research, and modified and supplemented them for use.
To verify the validity of this research I used the method of Exploratory Factor Analysis and the method of Cronbach's α. The method to analyze the data was the cross-tabulation analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression anlaysis ; through the program of SPSS Window 12.0.
Through the method and process of this study, I could reach conclusions like followings.
First, according to the characteristics of social demography, the result of verifying the difference of events was that there is a significant difference among the age, civil condition, academic ability and income level. Second, the result of verifying the effect of participating in the extreme sports shows that the participants' satisfaction of life is affected by the duration period and term except the frequency. As the conclusion, the experience of participating in the extreme sports has significant validity on the life of the modern society's members.
