Today many students and teachers in the elementary, middle and high school issue various publications like the alumni bulletin, the school magazine, the group news, a collection of works and the class news.
They think that these publications have the objective of gifting the joy of school life to the students. With them, students will experience the lofty sense of accomplishment based an the training for creative sensibility and humanity.
And students working the publication of these materials will take the pleasure of self-expression. Meanwhile, most of the alumni bulletin and the school magazines take the tool of expression with not images but letters. In the image era we live, it can be said that our students are more accustomed to seeing rather than to reading. The visual materials not only give people the visual entertainment but also function as a tool for conveying the messages strong enough to even change the mind of people in the modem society.
Education of the publications by the pictorial magazine is the first attempt in particular. It is an attempt to change the articles of the alumni bulletin and the school magazines from written materials to photograph.
And it means that the photograph is not just a tool of simple records and evidences as part of writings but a new way of self-expression and communication. The pictorial magazine has photographs as well as the article as the secondary medium of expression. It makes students experience the pleasure of taking photographs, selecting and editing them.
In addition, students will keep memorable school days by taking more interests in the school life and growing companionship in the process.
Moreover, they will grow as good phototgraph viewers, producers and editors futher to advance the culture of phototgraph.
