한국 근대 시문학 장르에 대한 검열의 수행 원리와 변동(1919~1935) = Principles and changes in censorship of modern Korean poetic genres(1919~1935)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 1919~1935년까지 한국근대 시문학 장르에 대한 검열의 수행 원리와 변동 양상에 대하여 논구하였다. 우선 본 연구에서는 첫 번째로 1919년 직후 문화통치기에서 1926년 8월 『개벽』의 폐간까지의 기간을, 두 번째로는 카프의 결성 이후 본격적으로 뼈다귀시를 비롯하여 프로시들이 활발하게 지면에서 등장하는 1926년부터 1935년까지 시기에 발생하는 검열 양상의 변화를 추적해 보았다. 또한 시 검열 체제 변화의 기점인 31년 전후 시문학 검열 기준의 표준화 과정을 고찰하였다. 1919년부터 『개벽』의 폐간이 이루어지는 1926년까지는 검열 당국과 창작 주체들 간의 ‘대치’ 시대였다. 1926년부터 1930년대 초반까지 프로시의 시대에는 검열을 통해 뼈다귀시와 감상적 서사시라는 패턴으로 창작 주체들의 인식을 길들이고자 했다. 동시에 독자투고란에 대한 검열을 통해 점차 대중화되어 가는 대중들의 시적 열망을 차단해 간다. 그 결과 이후 1930년 초중반에는 『諺文新聞の詩歌』 등의 문건을 통해 검열 기준의 ‘표준화’를 이루어가는 동시에 동요(시), 민요, 한시 등에 다양한 장르에 대한 검열 대상과 초점의 다변화를 통해서 시 창작 주체들의 인식 전반을 총체적으로 규율하고자 한다. 그러나 그렇게 강력한 검열의 와중에도 내면화된 프로시와 고도의 상징성을 획득한 저항시가 등장하는데 이러한 점이 검열 연구를 통해 우리가 확인할 수 있는 문학 텍스트의 진정한 생명력이다. 이러한 검열과 주체의 역동적 대결 속에서 현재 우리 시문학사에서 논의되는 시 장르의 전범이 구성되어 간 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study discusses the principles of censorship and the changes in the genre of modern Korean poetry and literature from 1919~1935. First of all, this study traces the changes in the censorship pattern that occurred during the period from the Cultural Rule immediately after 1919 to Closing of the Magazine 『Gaebyeok 開闢』 Poetry in August 1926, and secondly, from 1926 to 1935, when ‘Bone Poetry’ and other Proletarian poetry actively appeared on the pages after the formation of KAPF. In addition, the process of standardization of poetry censorship standards around 31 years ago, which was the starting point of the change in the poetry censorship system, was examined. From 1919 to 1926, when the publication of 『Gaebyeok 開闢』 was abolished, it was an era of "confrontation" between the censorship authorities and the creative entities. From 1926 to the early 1930s, in the era of prossy, censorship sought to tame the perceptions of the creative subjects with patterns of bone poetry and sentimental epic. At the same time, through the censorship of readers' submissions, the poetic aspirations of the masses, which are becoming more and more popular, are blocked. As a result, in the early to mid-1930s, the censorship standards were "standardized" through documents such as the 『諺文新聞の詩歌』, and at the same time, the overall perception of the subjects of poetry creation was comprehensively regulated through the diversification of the censorship targets and focus on various genres such as Children's song(poems), folk songs, and Korean poems. However, even in the midst of such intense censorship, internalized procedural poetry and resistance poetry that has acquired a high degree of symbolism emerge, and this is the true vitality of literary texts that we can see through the study of censorship. In the midst of this dynamic confrontation between censorship and the subject, the war crimes of the poetry genre currently discussed in the history of Korean poetry and literature have been constituted.
