축소시대 기독교교육의 눈으로 바라본 ‘B급 문화’ 탐색 ‐ 어린이신학과 지역 중심 기독교교육의 새로운 가능성 = Exploring “B-Class Culture” Through the Lens of Christian Education in the Era of Contraction: New Possibilities in Children’s Theology and Locality-Based Christian Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 현대 한국 교회 교육의 새로운 패러다임을 모색하는 과정에서, 최근 한국 사회에서 부상하는 ‘B-문화(B-Culture)’ 현상이 제공하는 시사점을 탐구한다. B-문화는 전통적인 A급 문화에 대한 대안적 가치를 제시하며, 자발성, 창의성, 공동체성을 중시하는 특징을 지닌다. 이러한 문화적 흐름은 기존의 대형교회 중심 교육 모델이 지닌 한계를 극복하고, 지역성과 참여성을 강화하는 새로운 기독교교육의 가능성을 제시할 수 있다. 특히 어린이신학(Kindertheologie)의 관점에서 기존의 성인 중심적, 위계적 기독교교육 방식을 재고찰하고, 어린이를 능동적인 신학적 주체로 인정하는 대안적 교육 모델을 탐색한다. 또한 지역 중심적 접근을 통해 중앙집중적 표준화 모델을 넘어서는 상향식 교육의 가능성을 모색하며, 이를 통해 한국 교회 교육이 당면한 위기를 새로운 기회로 전환할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. B-문화의 개념과 역사적 발전 과정을 고찰하면, 초대교회, 종교개혁, 경건주의 운동, 해방신학 등 신학적 흐름과의 유사성이 드러난다. 또한 어린이신학과 B-문화의 접점을 탐색함으로써, 신앙교육에서 창의성, 자발적 참여, 지역성과 같은 요소들이 강조되어야 함을 확인할 수 있다. 나아가 B-문화의 원리를 적용한 지역 중심 기독교교육 모델을 제안하며, 소규모 교회와 지역 사회가 협력하여 지속 가능한 신앙 교육을 실천할 수 있는 구체적 방안을 모색한다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 축소 시대를 맞이한 현대 한국 교회가 신앙 교육의 방향성을 전환하고, 지역성과 창의성을 강조하는 새로운 교육 모델을 도입할 필요가 있음을 강조한다. B-문화가 보여주는 창조적 가능성과 어린이신학의 대안적 접근이 결합될 때, 기독교교육은 보다 포용적이고 실천적인 신앙 공동체 형성을 위한 중요한 도구가 될 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research explores the implications of the emerging ‘B-Culture’ phenomenon in Korean society as part of seeking a new paradigm for modern Korean church education. B-Culture presents alternative values to traditional A-grade culture, emphasizing spontaneity, creativity, and community. This cultural trend offers possibilities for new Christian education models that overcome the limitations of existing large church-centered educational structures by strengthening locality and participation. Particularly from the perspective of Children’s Theology (Kindertheologie), this study reconsiders traditional adult-centered, hierarchical Christian education methods and explores alternative educational models that recognize children as active theological subjects. Additionally, it investigates bottom-up educational possibilities that transcend centralized standardization models through a locality-centered approach, thereby presenting ways to transform the crisis facing Korean church education into new opportunities. Examining the concept and historical development of B-Culture reveals similarities with theological movements such as the early church, the Reformation, Pietism, and liberation theology. By exploring the intersection of Children’s Theology and B-Culture, this study highlights the importance of creativity, voluntary participation, and locality in faith education. Furthermore, the research proposes a locality-centered Christian education model applying B-Culture principles, identifying specific ways for small churches and local communities to collaborate in practicing sustainable faith education. In conclusion, this research emphasizes that modern Korean churches, facing an era of decline, need to shift the direction of faith education and introduce new educational models that prioritize locality and creativity. When the creative possibilities demonstrated by B-Culture are combined with the alternative approach of Children’s Theology, Christian education can become a powerful tool for forming more inclusive and practical faith communities.
