한국 재난시에 나타난 죽음 의식 변화 연구 - 방민호 세월호 추모시집 『내 고통은 바닷속 한방울의 공기도 되지 못했네』를 중심으로 - = A Study on the Change of Death Consciousness in Korean Disaster - Tum Min - ho Seowall Memorial Poem “My Pain Has Could Not Be Air in the Sea” -

This paper explores the poetic change aspect of the death consciousness in the disaster by looking at the book of the memorial service of the memorial service of the fate of the year in the book “My suffering did not become the air of the drop in the sea” as the disaster literature. Unlike novels which have been created on the theme of disaster from the Japanese colonial period when examining the disaster literature in the history of Korean literature in the meantime, it is difficult to find disaster situations due to the nature of the poem emphasizing symbolism and compactness. Therefore, it focused on the disaster that was not investigated deeply in contemporary literature.
As a research method, the textbooks were classified into five categories: ‘the five stages of death’ - Elizabeth Cubleros' negative - anger - negotiation - depression - acceptance, and analyzed the post - war process of overcoming tragedy from negative consciousness to acceptance consciousness. At this time, we want to pay attention to the color image which is prominently displayed in the text poem. The color images are seen in the process of changing the city consciousness about death by experiencing the disaster in the text city. First, the negative stage is the image of Purple, the second stage is the blue image, the third is the yellow image, The stage is a black image, and the fifth stage of acceptance is a multicolored image, accompanied by a poet's emotional response.
In the negative phase, the poetic denial of death is mixed with violence in the tragic emotion of the poet with the sadness of the left alone and the anger just before the explosion due to the sudden death of the precious person, and wandering reality and unreal by the anxiety of life and death The color of sadness. In the stage of anger, the anger of the poet turns blue and the madness and grudge against the society are revealed as revenge. And with the victim, the sun shakes down and shows the disbelief and anger that the truth sinks into the labyrinth of the sea. In the negotiation phase, in the process of negotiating the Special Law on the Special Law of the Law of the Sea in the 167 days after the disaster of the Seowol Lake, the real problem is drawn together with the yellow, and this yellow is the truth of Seowol which was hidden in the darkness and the exploration of the truth Used in color. Through the fraud, anger, negotiation and depression, it is expressed as a multicolored image that embraces various colors while accepting the tragedy of the victims' deaths and the disaster of the years, and the stability of the bereaved family and the calm of the people. Multicolor images representing spring show order and stability through overall harmony and balance of life consciousness at the acceptance stage.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 방민호의 세월호 추모 시집 『내 고통은 바닷속 한방울의 공기도 되지 못했네』를 재난 문학으로 보고, 재난시에 나타난 죽음의식에 관한 시적 변화 양상을 알아보았다. 그동안 한국문학사에 나타난 재난 문학을 검토할 때 일제강점기부터 재난을 주제로 창작되어 온 소설과 달리 상징성과 압축성을 강조하는 운문의 특성상 재난시는 물론 선행연구도 찾아볼 수 없다. 따라서 현대문학에서 심층적으로 연구되지 않은 재난시에 주목한 것이다.
연구방법으로 텍스트 시집을 엘리자베스 퀴블러 로스의 ‘죽음의 5단계’인 부정―분노―협상―우울―수용 등 다섯 가지로 분류하였고, 부정의식에서 수용의식으로 비극을 극복해 나가는 전후 과정을 분석했다. 이때 텍스트 시편에서 두드러지게 드러나는 색채 이미지와 함께 주목하고자 한다. 색채 이미지는 시인의 절망, 고통, 우울, 분노 등과 같은 부정 의식에서 사랑, 희망, 평안, 기쁨 등과 같은 긍정 의식을 지각할 수는 심리적 진료로 시편에서 기능하고 있다는 점에서 ‘사유의 요체’라고 할 수 있다. 요컨대 세월호 참사를 경험하며 죽음에 대한 시의식이 변화하는 과정에서 나타나는 바, 첫째 부정 단계는 보라 이미지로, 둘째 분노 단계는 파랑 이미지로, 셋째 협상 단계는 노랑 이미지로, 넷째 우울 단계는 검정 이미지로, 다섯째 수용 단계는 다색채 이미지로서 시인의 정서적 반응과 함께 나타난다.
살펴본 ‘부정 단계’는 죽음을 부정하고 있는 시인의 비극적 정서에는 소중한 사람의 갑작스러운 죽음으로 인해 홀로 남은 자의 슬픔과 폭발하기 직전의 노여움이 보라색과 섞여있으며, 삶과 죽음의 불안감으로 현실과 비현실을 방황하며 슬픔의 색으로 나타난다. ‘분노 단계’에서는 시인의 분노가 파랑색과 함께 사회에 대한 광기와 원한이 복수로 드러나며, 희생자와 함께 세월호가 침몰하면서 진실도 같이 바다 속 미궁으로 함몰된다는 불신과 분노를 보인다. ‘협상 단계’에서는 세월호 참사가 발생한 지 167일 만에 여야의 세월호 특별법 협상이 이루어지는 과정에서 현실적 문제를 노란색과 함께 도출하고 있으며, 이 노란색은 어둠 속에 감추어진 세월호의 진상 규명과 진실에 대한 탐사의 색채로 사용된다. ‘우울 단계’에서는 분노와 협상 단계를 오가면서 비이성적인 세계를 드러내고, 불안으로 인한 시인의 감정이 수면 장애를 동반하며 ‘어둠’ ‘어두운’ ‘밤’ 등 검정 색채 이미지로 표현되면서 고독하고 외로운 시인의 우울한 심리를 대변해 준다. ‘수용 단계’에서는 부정과 분노, 협상과 우울을 거치면서 희생자들의 죽음과 세월호 참사의 비극을 받아들이고 유가족의 안정과 국민들의 평정을 빌면서 여러 가지 색채를 함의하고 있는 다색채 이미지로 표상된다. 봄을 표상하는 다색채 이미지는 수용 단계에 와서 생명 의식에 대한 전체적인 조화와 균형을 통한 안정적 질서를 보인다.
