비공학계열 대학생을 위한 캡스톤 디자인 수업에 대한 인식 및 요구 = Recognition and Needs about a Capstone Design Course for University Students Who Major in Nonengineering

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently a capstone design course has been implemented for university students who major in nonengineering such as humanities and social science extensively. So it was needed to investigate recognition and needs about the capstone design course beforehand, to make a detailed instructional design for learners who lacked understanding of creative engineering design relatively compared to other students whose major was engineering. Accordingly, this study was intended to find out recognition and needs about a capstone design course for university students, collecting fundamental data of a capstone design course for university students who specialized in nonengineering. 324 university students including 179 in nonengineering and 145 in engineering participated in this survey. The content validity was verified and differences were identified according to gender, grade and major. Even if interest and the need of a capstone design course have been increasing in the society, the level of recognition and needs about a capstone design course of university students was low. It was shown that there were statistically meaningful differences between nonengineering group and engineering group, in the necessity as a capstone design course where careers would be found and developed from various aspects, the social need, that is to say, contents about modern changes and the demand in the field where university students would work and integration (convergence) experience with other fields. Therefore this study result is meaningful when a university student whose major is nonengineering is fostered as a creativity-convergence person and when it is useful as a basic material in developing learner-centered instructional programs after direction and validity of a capstone design course based on nonengineering are identified.
