This study for the structure shape naval guns’s deployment of the 1795’s Tongjeyoung ‘turtle ship’s drawing and explain(龜船圖說)’ of the 『Lee-Chung-Mu-Gong-Jeon-Seo(李忠武公全書)』were as follows. ‘Turtle ship’s drawing and explain(龜船圖說)’ of the 『Lee-Chung-Mu-Gong-Jeon-Seo(李忠武公全書)』was the official design drawing of the 18^th century’s turtle ship.
1894’s Tongjeyoung turtle ship(統制營 龜船) consisting of the lower deck, 2^nd and 3^rd deck according to Tong-je-young(統制營) Haeyu document(解由文書). So Tongjeyoung turtle ship were 3 decks structure ship.
The Tong-je-young-gyer-rok(統制營啓錄) records the low deck length, width, height, and length and width of the 2^nd. deck of the 1882’s Tongjeyoung Turtle Ship. The ratio of the 2^nd deck length/low deck length of the Turtle Ship is 1.31, and the ratio of the 2^nd deck length/ 2^nd deck width is 2.65. Therefore, in 1795, the length of the 2^nd deck of the Geobukseon in Tongjeyoung was 85 feet and the width of the 2^nd deck was 32 feet. And the height of the second and third deck of the 1795 turtle ship is 4.3 feet.
On the side, there are 10 pairs of korean-style oars, and in the center, there are 19 rooms for soldiers to rest and five warehouses with firearms. The size of the 1795 Tongjeyoung turtle ship’s 3rd deck is the same as the size of the 2nd deck, and the 3rddeck(砲蓋板) is a rectangular area of 85 feet(26.55m) long and 15 feet(4.7m wide). A shield wall of 5.1 feet in height is set at 71.8 degrees and a roof of 5.1 feet(1.6m) in width is placed on both sides, and in the middle, there is a gap of 1.5 feet in width, and in front of it, there is a dragon head(龍頭) for spraying flames.
The armament of the 1795 Tongjeyoung turtle ship was set up with three large cannons, one ji-ja-chong-tong(地字銃筒), and two hyeon-ja-chong-tong(玄字銃筒) at the forefront of the second floor to attack and calm the enemy ship and install one at the stern. At the forefront of the third floor, two Byeol-hwang-jachong-tongs(別黃字銃筒) were installed on the head of the dragon, and 24 bul-lang-gi(佛狼機) and 12 back-ja-chong-tongs(百子銃筒) were installed on the side, with a total of 31 cannons installed.
