학교보건서비스의 현황과 발전방안에 관한 고찰 = A Review on Status and Perspectives in School Health Services

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

To develop new school hcalth services for the school children in Korca, a review on the school health program from school health appraisals, vaccination and school health perso nnels, services. Critical review of the health services in other country and school health appraisals of all students were discussed in this study. The main findings are as follows.

1. The concept and activity of the school health services is not accepted and recognized satisfactorily in Korea. Therefore, school health services must be emphasized that its role and importance are accepted by the nation, again.

2. Regard to school health personnel, a school nurse should be employed in cach school not only by the school health law, but also for the better health of the students. So legal and administrative procedures should be provided for school health nursing sery-ices for better usage of the professional skills of the school nurse.

3. School health appraisals of students are the most important services in school health program but the appraisals are carried out without correct mcasurements or appropriate physical examination check up.

4. By physical exam, the students with abnormal health should be referred to hospital and results of health appraisals of abnormal pupils should be followed-up and should
be applicated for ſeed-back in planning and implementing of school health services.

5. In these days, disease patterns of change with a high prevalence of chronic disease call for attention to early diagnosis for prevention and therapy in young students.

6. The formal school health services in districts should be actualized with the funds and the man power made through realizing local autonomy system.

7. The equipment of nursing room should be used properly, so that the function of num rsing should be revitalized.

8. The formal and informal relation among health center, hospital and the board of education should be strengthened at the administrative and technical aspects.
