조선시대 태실 관리제도의 정비와 운영 = The Maintenance and Operation of the Joseon Dynasty's Taesil Management System

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The origin of Taesil dates back to the Three Kingdoms period, and through the Goryeo Dynasty, Joseon also had a Jangtae culture in which the birth of a prince born in the royal family was buried in famous mountains and good land across the country. This Jangtae culture is our own unique custom, and during the Joseon Dynasty, it became one of the major royal ceremonies.
The Taesil, created through the ritual of Jangtae, was recognized as an important facility symbolizing the royal family, and a lot of effort was made to manage it. The management system of such a Taesil is included in the Joseon Dynasty's law codes, including 󰡔Gyeonggukdaejeon󰡕. Reviewing the contents of the law code shows that Suhogun was assigned for the management of the Taesil, the scope of the Geumpyo was set, and the Bongsim was carried out through governors every year.
The deployment of the Suhogun was confirmed from the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty, and a separate military government was organized and operated under the Poomgwan officials living in the outskirts. Later, through the compilation of 󰡔Gyeonggukdaejeon󰡕, it was legislated as a soldier named Taesilgansugun. In addition, a Bongsim system was established and the inspector managed the Taesil located in the province.
These provisions of the law of 󰡔Gyeonggukdaejeon󰡕 formed the basis of the management of Taesil in the late Joseon Dynasty, and two Suhogun troops were assigned to the AgiTaesil and eight to the GabongTaesil, and many cases were confirmed that Bongsim was conducted for the purpose of reviewing previous cases for Taesil’s repair and Gabong. In addition, the scope of the Geumpyo to protect Taesil was established as a legal form through the time of King Seonjo and was included as a legal provision in 󰡔Sokdaejeon󰡕 and 󰡔Daejeon Tongpyeon󰡕.
The damage to the Taesil was considered to have damaged the king's symbol and was strictly controlled, such as putting him to death according to the crime of moral principles crime. In addition, if a fire broke out in the Taesil a local official in the area was held accountable.
In this way, the Joseon royal family created the Taesil to achieve stability and prosperity, and the Taesil was recognized as a major facility symbolizing the royal family and tried to systematically manage it. This aspect illustrates the importance of the Taesil during the Joseon Dynasty.
