정석교 시의 장소성과 서정적 리얼리즘 = The Placeness and Lyrical Realism of Jeongseok-gyo

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 그간 학술적 연구 대상이 되지 못했던 정석교 시세계를 학술적으로 조명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 지역과 지역 단체의 융합 속에서 로컬 히스토리를 경유한 그의 시적 성과는 오늘날 지역문학 연구에서 주목할 필요가 있다.
이를 논증하기 위해 장소성을 중심으로 정석교 시세계를 분석하였다. 정석교 시는 근대화의 논리에 의해 소멸과 퇴보로 인식되는 공간에서 인간 존재를 발견한다. 기차역(간이역)과 탄광은 일제강점기 자원 수탈을 위해 건설되고, 해방 이후 산업화 시기에는 국가경제발전을 담당하였다. 지역의 기차역(간이역)에서 볼 수 있는 단절된 모빌리티 양상은 2000년대 이후 빠르게 쇠퇴하는 지역의 현실을 은유함과 동시에 발전론적이고 목적지향적인 근대화 논리의 모순을 드러낸다. 정석교 시의 ‘강’, ‘바다’의 이미지는 속도와 질주로 표상되는 근대성을 ‘쉼’, ‘곡선’의 이미지로 전유한다. 이미지 전유를 통해 미학적 차원의 모빌리티를 형성하여 단절되었던 존재들의 관계를 잇고 근대화의 논리를 지연한다.
탄광은 국가경제발전이란 국가적 담론에 의해 성스러운 공간이 된다. 하지만 그것은 탄광노동자의 희생을 강요하는 기제였다. 때문에 정석교는 탄광촌 주민들의 비극적인 삶을 시적으로 형상화하며 국가적 담론의 기만성을 폭로한다. 이러한 탄광 경험은 신체에 각인되고 변화하는 시대를 감각하는 장소가 된다. 오늘날 표면적으로 국가적 거시 담론의 억압은 약해졌지만 오히려 개인의 신체는 자본주의적 욕망에 의해 더욱 파편화된다. 이러한 시대적 모순을 정석교는 ‘청년 비정규직’ 문제를 통해 상징적으로 드러낸다. 문제적 현실에 기반 하면서도 신자유주의적 영토의 경계를 횡단하는 자연 대상 속에서 정석교는 미시적 혁명의 가능성을 발견한다.
정석교 시세계의 출발점에는 지역에 대한 애정이 위치한다. 동시에 지역이란 지정학적 단위를 초과한다. 지역과 노동이라는 인간의 삶과 존재 기반을 주제로 보여주는 정석교의 시세계는 궁극적으로 우리 삶의 문제와 연동되기 때문이다. 이런 의미에서 정석교 시는 지역문학사뿐 아니라 민중문학사나 한국문학사의 층위에서도 논구될 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this article is to academically illuminate the world of Jeong Seok-gyo, which has not been the subject of academic research. His poetic achievements through local history in the convergence of local and local organizations need to be noted in local literature research today.
To argue this, the world of Jeong Seok-kyo was analyzed centering on the locationality. Jeong Seok-kyo finds human existence in a space that is perceived as extinction and regression by the logic of modernization. Train stations(way station) and coal mines were built to steal Japanese colonial era resources, and after liberation, they were in charge of national economic development during the industrialization period. The disconnected aspect of mobility seen in local train stations(way station) metaphoricalizes the reality of a region that has rapidly declined since the 2000s, and at the same time reveals the contradiction of developmental and purpose-oriented modernization logic. The images of 'river' and 'sea' of Jeong Seok-kyo appropriates modernity, represented by speed and gallop, as images of 'rest' and 'curves'. It forms an aesthetic level of mobility through image appropriation to connect the disconnected relationships and delay the logic of modernization.
The coal mine becomes a sacred space by the national discourse of national economic development. However, it was a mechanism that forced the sacrifice of coal mine workers. Therefore, Jeong Seok-kyo poeticizes the tragic lives of coal mine residents and exposes the deceptiveness of national discourse. This coal mine experience is imprinted on the body and becomes a place to feel the changing times. Today, on the surface, the suppression of the national macro-discourse has weakened, but the individual's body is more fragmented by capitalist desires. Jeong Seok-kyo symbolically reveals this contradiction of the times through the problem of 'youth non-regular workers'. Jeong Seok-kyo discovers the possibility of a microscopic revolution in natural objects that cross the boundaries of neoliberal territories while based on problematic reality.
At the starting point of the Jeong Seok-gyo poetry world, affection for the region is located. At the same time, the region exceeds the geopolitical unit. This is because the poetry world of Jeongseokgyo, which shows the human life and the basis of existence of region and labor, is ultimately linked to the problems of our lives. In this sense, Jeongseokgyo poetry needs to be discussed not only in the history of local literature, but also in the history of folk literature and the history of Korean literature.
