This paper is on how Baekseok University, a school implementing various programs starting as a Christian university to achieve campus evangelization, succeeded the teachings of the Bible as well as the Reformed theology through the founder, Dr. Jong Hyun Jang in 2008, and thereby reproached the speculative theology, became one with repentance and forgiveness, embraced the power of Jesus Christ in all aspects of life with the guidance of the Holy Spirit by restoring the spiritual life given by Jesus Christ, and in final, declared the Reformed life theology to pass the glory only to God. Such Reformed life theology can be said to be the crucial core as well as the value of campus evangelization in the chapel ministry as currently ministered by the author. Christianity education, one of the two major ministries of the chapel for achieving campus evangelization based on the Reformed life theology, will allow us to reconsider and pursue the essence of campus evangelization through the lesson on Understanding Christianity, and this study will be extremely significant for us to progress one step further in development of campus evangelization.
Therefore, we must explore the background as well as the relationship between reformed life theology and campus evangelization as advocated by Baekseok University, observe the purpose of the lesson on Understanding Christianity based on the reformed life theology, and evaluate how such lesson can be applied to the students.
First, we are to begin Chapter 1 with the introduction, understand the background of the campus evangelization emerged in the Reformed life theology in Chapter 2, and then in Chapter 3, explore the perspective towards its definition and the subject in the Reformed life theology and lesson on Understanding Christianity, as well as what its content should be. In Chapter 4, we are to explore how to restore the spiritual life given by Jesus Christ in order to progress to evangelization by presenting the model demonstrating the lesson on Understanding Christianity based on the Reformed life theology. Finally in Chapter 5, we are to reveal the definition and evaluation of the past lessons on Understanding Christianity, and to proclaim the value of lesson on Understanding Christianity as based on the Reformed life theology.
