北韓의 主體思想에 關한 硏究 = North Korea's 「Chuche」 Ideology

Every research and reform activities in the ideological programs in North Korea start from 「Chuche」 idea and come to be resulted in it. The main trend flowing consistently in the chuche idea, however, is an ideology based on a thoroughgoing self-justification. Even though they say that Marxism-Leninism has been creatively applied to their reality, they have, in fact, interpreted it at their own convenience and packaged their own dogmatic interpretation in the name of a independent line. And then they have politically indoctrinated their people of the idea.
The 「chuche」 idea, thus, has been transformed into a 「dogmatic ideology」and it has been used as a vehicle serving to rule their people within the frame of their regime. This is why the 「chuche」 idea has turned into a governing logic.
The North Korean authorities, in the process of propagandizing chuche idea, have covered up their initial argument that the northern half of the peninsula was liberated by the Soviet forces. Instead, they, having even distorted their own history, have insisted on the false fact that what led to the liberation of Korea was the 「chuche」 idea created by Kim Il-sung and the armed guerrilla struggles by the agents motivated and led by the idea and its creator Kim Il-sung as their leader.
Particularly, the 「end of ideology」 can be rightly said to be a revisionary one, approving and sustaining the status quo. The ideological orientation which the end of ideology contains in itself will be achieved through the ideology of the welfare state. However, such theories as 「end of ideology」 or 「convergence theory」have appeared throughout the world with expectations that two conflicting, competing, systems of captialism and communism would come closer to each other or converge into mutual integration, but they have failed to meet such expectations.
All ideologies or isms are no more than the measns for human life, but not the end itself. In spite of this fact, Kim Il-sung in North Korea has put emphasis on the 「chuche」 idea in order to ensure one-man dictatorial system for his life-long rule and hereditary transfer of the power to his son.
Such a series of events as mentioned above reveal the fact that 「chuche」idea is North Korea's unique ideology, which aims at keeping on the 「chuche」 bloodlineage. It is a transformed ideology by one-man rule dictatorship and bureaucratic manipulation. The 「chuche」 idea in North Korea has become a 「Kim Il-sung's ideology」 which is strongly committed to the justification of pre-modern, hereditary communism.
