高麗初 學校의 設立과 敎育理念에 關한 考察 = A Study on the Educational Syatem and Ideology in the early Koryo Dynasty

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고려 초기 학교교육의 성립과 이념을 규명하고 운영 면을 살펴봄으로써 고려의 학교교육에 대한 정확한 실상을 파악하는데 있으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 고려시대의 학교교육은 삼국 이래의 전통을 계승하면서 고려 초기 정책의 산물로서 나타났다. 고려 학제의 성립은 국가체제를 유교적으로 개편하려는 의도와 중앙집권을 강화하는 과정에서 향리의 호족들을 포섭하는 타협적 의도가 연계되면서 나타났다.
둘째, 성종 2년의 유경습업은 중앙권력의 국가적 확산과 관련하여 나타난 대향호정책의 일환이었다. 이것은 성종 2년 향리직 개정과 더불어 향호의 자제를 상경시켜 관료적 자질로 교육시킨다는 정책으로 나타났다.
셋째, 성종 5년은 종래의 유경습업이 국자감 교육으로 개편된 중요한 역사적 의의를 갖는 시기로 평가할 수 있다. 이 시기는 성종 즉위 이래의 집권정책이 일차적으로 성공을 거두고 있으며 따라서 성종 2년 향리직 개정을 즈음하여 향호의 포습정책으로 나타났던 유경습업은 그 의의를 소멸하게 된다.
넷째, 성종 6년은 교육의 중앙통제가 전국적으로 확산되는 때이며 동시에 고려시대 지방학교의 전통이 마련되는 시기이다. 즉, 성종 6년 8월에는 향학의 설립을 위한 국가적 시책이 반포되고 있으며 이를 위하여 국가는 전국 12목에 의학박사, 경학박사를 파견하였다.

This dissertation focuses on the formation of Kuk Ja Gam and the function of its education with the appointment of instructor, and the process of promotion for the public officer on the Koryo Dynasty.
And this paper will servey some characteristics of the educational system in the Koryo Dynasty and discuses them in the following.
1. In the process of upholding the educational tradition from the Age of Three Kingdom.
Koryo Dynasty's school education appears to be connected with the centralization of power in her early times.
We assumed that the formation of the educational system in Koryo was one of the historical products provided by the political intentions leading the national system to the local magnates in the process of strengthening the controlled policies.
2. In the second year of king, Sung Jong's reign. Yoo Kyung Seup(유경습업) up is one of the policies against the local magnates with the nation wide spreading of the centralizing power system, and is considered as a compromising policy for the local magnates to develop the bureaucratic guality of their children studing in the capital, as the magnates in the country participated in the centralization of power. They believed in raising their traditional position.
Seo-Dang had been executed school level of the advanced nations, Seo-dang is very important system of education.
This study reached the conclusion that Seo-dang was a meaningfully important and influential system for educational development.
