界火干拓地 住宅構造의 變化에 關한 硏究 : 全北 扶安郡 界火面을 中心으로

Gehwa land-reclaimed area is developed from a primitive tidal marsh to a rice production area In 1961, Korean government planned to reclaim this tidal marsh to a rice field by the reclamation project.
All of the villages and houses on the new reclaimed area was planned as a Urban-type residential one by the Reclamation Project Agent (Korean government).
They constructed villages for farmers of this reclaimed area along the shorline adding new residential district on the exfishing villages; Gehwa, Dongi, and Changbuk. They constructed 1, 000 new houses with a same type on the these villages at a same time; 484 at Changbuk, 246 at Gehwa, and 270 at Dongi.
After ten years or so, there are many changes on the house structure. It could guess that there are some factors causing the changes of house structure in a period of time. This study focused on the changes of house structure and the difference of those of house structure among the three newlybuilted villages - Gehwa, Chang buk, and Dongi and the factors which bring about these changes.
Followings are the results of this study;the first, Dongi has the largest number of the abandoned houses among the three villages because it has relatively unfavorable socio-economic conditions.
The second, Enlargement of the houses are caused to happen of the changes on mainly on the main building.
The method of enlargement are used walls. One or two walls are mainly used for the house enlargement. Hierarchy of the attached facilities are as follows, the first is Changbuk, the second Gehwa and the third Dongi.
The third, factors which bring about the changes of house structure are as follows;
1) Urban-type house structure are unfavorable one for the farmstead. At first, it had not any attached facilities for a convenience of farming.
2) Specific climate conditions and salt contained wind of these coastal area are unfavorable for the pre-fabricated houses which are mainly made of zinced steel plate.
3) House structures are differentiated by the socio-economic level of these villages; the highest one is Changbuk, the second Gehwa, and the last Dongi.
Especially regional inequality of irrigation water supply by the irrigation system to each rice fields has influence on the productivity of land, land value, income and living standard of farmers in each village and then it bring about the changes of house structure and settlement hierarchy of villages in this area.
Changbuk locate on the top-end of irrigation system and Gehwa and Dongi located on the tail-end of system
