We who live in the information society must make the much of computer as a means of life.
Students who will be a master of future should be taught computer education program in order to adapt information society.
The contents and method in computer education is poor for adaptation to the rapid changing information society. So, in teaching of computer, there should be a supplement with new contents. In the 21st century, Computer will be used as a basic means of life and the information industry will lead steer our country to prosperity, and so will become a information society.
Today many people expects much of computer education, and so the course of study and facilities are improved more and more but are lacking in satisfying variously changeful social environment. Educational communication network is propelled as a first government undertaking along five basic government undertaking. In most companys, their job is performed by information communication system and office automation.
Today Because of development of high technology, we are aced with information society which is used computer especially in school education where bring up our future leader computer education is the most important task.
The purpose of this study is to analyze computer education which is demanded in information society that is taught in commercial high school and is suqqested its new method. The processing of this study is to analyze text contents and is carried out by date of questionaire and study of other records. The target of this study is to limit among chungbuk province commercial high school students. The problems of a curriculum, text contents and support of education environment in computer education is anzlyze by questionaire.
The problems of computer education in order to be adapted to information society.
1. The problem of managing of curriculum. Text contents which need in society are poor. Teachers who majored this subject are lack and because of lack of facilities, the least unit is completed.
2. The problem of computer practice. Computers and other auxiliaries are lack. Most computer lessonis processed with theory than practice because of lacking of classroom.
3. The problem of teacher who majored computer. Teachers lack specialty because of not majoring. They should be taught new contents. Because they can teach with understanding new contents. Teachers avoid this business management because there job is too burdensome.
4. The problem of supporting computer education. An educational-industrial cooperation should be established. The lack of executive support and financial support it is hard to manage computer class.
The suqqestion of this study is to solve these problems, to activate computer education and to bring up students.
1. Improvement of curriculum
Text should be fill up with new contents which fit rapid changing society. The maximum unit should be completed. An optional subject should become a compulsory subject and new subject need to be established for changeful society.
2. Activating computer lesson practice. Computer lesson practice should be reinforced and facilities for practice and classroom for practice should be secured.
3. Improvement of teacher's quality. Teachers who are majored in college should be appointed also they should be re-educated in order to accept new contents.
4. Supporting computer education.
An educational-industrial cooperation should be established through company and the Ministry of Education cooperation. With executive spporting and financial supporting, there should be secured consumption good for practice and repair of computer. Materical for teaching should be developed and so computer education should be activated so as to adapt changful information society.
Our contry lacks natural resources, and so Information industry should be bring up as a strategic industry.
School computer education should be adapted the current of the times and this have a role in national prosperity so new educational direction should be established because the activating of computer education is very important.
Computer education in commercial high school should be taught so as to take advantage of computer as a tools in life the aim of this study is to make and alternative plan about computer education so this can train students as to adapt information society this can reduce the term 20C information society.
