This paper is willing to broaden the width of the study of Jang Ho`s poetic drama by revealing the characteristics of 3 poetic dramas-Journal of a hunter(broadcast drama), Harbor without the sea·Surimoi(stage drama) that were announced through the broadcast or performance. The theme of Jang Ho`s poetic drama is formed at the point where social meaning is combined with ontological meaning in general. Journal of a hunter is strong in ontological meaning, but it also contains the social meaning in terms of that criticizes one aspect of the modern society that conflict and violence are deepened through the obsessive thought of a ``man`` who lived his life of a ``hunter`` hunting for his whole life indirectly. And Harbor without the sea compares two attitudes (pro-Japanese betrayer↔person who resists injustice and repression) that handle the injustice based on anti-Japan resistance consciousness having Japanese Colonial Period as its background. Though that, the author tried to express the accusation of the corrupt social aspect and the ontological contradiction by composing a righteous patriot to fall into difficult situation eventually. Lastly, Surimoi described the life of low class by birth who longs for freedom escaping from the repression and suffering in the inequal structure of class society that divides the people into the nobility and low class by birth having the early of Joseon Dynasty Period as the periodic background. This work also shows how difficult for human to acquire the true freedom dramatically together with the periodic limit as the gap between the ideal and the reality is treated as the conclusion of the work. The themes concerned with such limit of human that is described in the works of Jang Ho can be regarded as the suggestion that implies the mission of the artists together with the fact that the efforts of human to overcome that should be sustained eternally. The poetic drama that Jang Ho devoted his passion has the ground of its existence regarding that as well. And we don`t need to talk about that it is based on the boundary that cannot be solved with the lyric that lost the story or the prose and play like realism theater that cannot reach the deepest part of human or his own judgment that has the higher possibility of realizing, though it is slight, in the artistic form located at the point of contact between poem and drama.
