인공지능(AI) 자동 번역 발달 상황 속에서의 한국어 번역 교육 과제- 베트남 대학 내 통번역 전공 학생들을 위한 번역 교수법 및 번역 과목 품질 향상을 중심으로 = Challenges in Korean Translation Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Translation Development -Focusing on Enhancing Teaching Methods and Course Quality for Translation Majors at Vietnamese Universities

Amid the strengthening of comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea across various fields, the demand for high-quality Korean translation and interpretation professionals is steadily increasing. At the same time, with the rapid advancement of technology and artificial intelligence, machine translation tools are becoming more prevalent and widely used in Korean translation and interpretation.
To respond to these demands and trends, integrating machine translation technology into Korean translation and interpretation education programs has become an essential requirement, opening new opportunities to improve teaching methods and enhance educational quality. This study provides an overview of the current application of machine translation technology in translation education and investigates its impact on translation courses for Korean majors at the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University – Hanoi. The findings indicate that the integration of machine translation technology contributes to the improvement of students’ language proficiency and the development of critical thinking skills, thereby enhancing the quality of translation courses. The study also offers recommendations for the advancement of translation curricula and the application of technology in Korean translation education, aiming to move toward a more flexible and efficient educational model in the digital era.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

베트남과 한국 간의 전략적 협력 관계가 다양한 분야에서 포괄적으로 강화되고 있는 상황에서, 고품질의 한국어 통번역 인력에 대한 수요가 점점 더 요구되고 있다. 한편, 최근 기술과 인공지능의 급속한 발전과 함께 자동 번역 도구가 점점 더 보편화되고 한국어 통번역에 널리 사용되고 있다. 이러한 수요와 추세에 부응하기 위해, 한국어 통번역 교육 과정에 자동 번역 기술을 통합하는 것은 교육 방법을 개선하고 교육의 질을 높이기 위한 새로운 기회를 열어주는 필수적인 요구 사항이 되었다.
현재 번역 교육에서 자동 번역 기술의 적용 현황을 개관하며, 이 연구는 하노이 국립 외국어대학교의 한국어 전공 학생들을 대상으로 자동 번역 기술을 번역 교과목에 적용한 효과를 조사하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 자동 번역 기술의 통합이 학생들의 언어 능력 향상뿐만 아니라 비판적 사고 능력 개발에도 도움이 되어 번역 교과목의 질을 높이는 데 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구는 또한 번역 교육 과정의 발전과 한국어 통번역 교육에 기술을 적용하는 것에 대한 몇 가지 권고 사항을 제안하며, 디지털 시대에 더 유연하고 효율적인 교육 모델을 향해 나아가는 것을 목표로 할 것이다.
