한국현대 급진철학(急進哲學)에서의 생(生)의 감정(感情)과 전환(轉換) -신남철(申南澈)의 경우- = An Affection and Transformation of Life in Modern Philosophy of Korea

Nam Chul Shin is one of the major thinkers who advocate Marxism in radical philosophy of Korea. He accepted the difficult and heavy situations after becoming independent from Japan as a social wholeness. He tried to cognize the wholeness as a method of the materialistic dialectic he had believed as a scientific way. That was a kind of anatomical and genetic method. The wholeness appreciated by this way was called the concrete wholeness. Also, since the real world disturbed people living like a human being, he was eager to be realized an abundant fullness in our life which was once lost. The affection for life which is a strong desire for the realization of spontaneity and various human natures motivated his awareness of historical society. He was deeply touched by the Renaissance movement and the humanistic and humanitarian thoughts of the romantic neo Renaissance. Through his life, he wished such affections risen by the atmosphere of humanistic culture and he wanted to get a revolution of life by realizing the progressive democracy through those affections. However, the scientific historical view based on the objective attitude and the romantic affection derived from the subjectivity were looked terribly incompatible. The more they were getting close, the more conflict and agony was there. Although he was always in such agony, he tried to understand the historical society and struggled to reconstruct that. And also he wanted to make the humanity of freedom based on the affection of life become real in his comprehensive thought. In this matter, this article covers his thoughts of the philosophy of life and of the view on the historical society in the level of tension on the whole. In addition, if there is a necessity of more discussion, there will be a critical demonstration, while, for the part that has a important meaning in this time, more clear interpretation will be claimed.
