청소년기를 위한 성교육 = Sex Education Program for Adolescence

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The research and development of sex education programs for the adolescents in Korea is important issueses in the health and nursing disciplines.
Valid rationales for sex education programs have emerged out of new knowledge about psychosexual development of children and adolescents ; out of better information on the range and variety of sexual behavior ; from systematic investigations of concerns and questions of children and youth about sex ; out of evolving changes in society related to alternative life styles, the role of women, and premarital sexual standards ; and out of studies demonstrating the depths of sexual ignorance of college-age youth.
However, sex education programs for the adolescence in Korea are still in beginning stage.
Also, the another problem for sex education programs is the lack of trained staff, low consciousness level and underdeveloped curriculum.
There now exists a sizable barriers in the sex education programs for the child and adolescents in Korea.
In this paper, the author addressed that the major contents will reflect the reality of the youth and prepare youth for future goals of marriage and parenthoods are human sexuality, physical, emotional and cognitional changes of puberty, a review of male and female reproductive organs and reproductive process, masturbation, normal sexual urge and sexual behavior and marriage.
And, the author suggested that sex education programs should be formulate on the basis of advice of representative from medical, public health, social welfare, religious service and parent-teacher association.
