시민교육 관점 교육과정 대안 모색: 조선시대를 중심으로 = A Study on the Alternatives of the Contents of Korean History Curriculum-Centering on the age of the Joseon Dynasty-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The history curriculum has been composed of historical research results, and has played an important role in cultivating students’ historical consciousness and developing critical thinking skills to become citizens. Looking at the 7th curriculum, the 2009 revised curriculum, and the 2015 revised curriculum in Korean history, the phenomenon that the latest research results of history are not covered as new contents is examined. In addition, when reviewing the Korean history curriculum Content System, it was necessary to be consistent with the direction of civic education, which is currently the main direction of history education. This paper attempted to present an alternative to the Content System by reviewing the Korean history curriculum centering on the Joseon Dynasty.
Among the recent research achievements related to the Joseon Dynasty, we tried to set a direction from the perspective of the continuity of time that values Goryeo and Joseon in history, and to suggest an alternative that further increases the proportion of socio-economic history and cultural history, which are subject to current learners’ lives and wear. In addition, the ‘learner exploration’ area was set as an area of inquiry activity in the project learning method that reflects learner initiative educationally. The core of civic education will need to take a step further from cultivating learners’ critical thinking skills and assume learners as subjects of learning. It is expected that civic education can be completed when standing upright as a subject that considers temporal continuity on the basis of economic and cultural aspects.
