다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As technology continues to advance and penetrate every aspect of our lives, it is rather desirable to utilize such technologies beneficially in the church's various ministries and roles.
This paper examines how ChatGPT and blockchain, among various new technologies,* Professor by Special Appointment, Dong-A University, School of Law.
impact the church and what benefits they can offer. Additionally, it explores the potential risks and side effects that these new technologies might bring. It suggests setting and adhering to moral standards based on God's Word and ethical standards in social conventions to effectively utilize the benefits of these technologies while preventing the associated risks and side effects.
First, the paper explores the concept and development history of ChatGPT and investigates how it can be applied in the church through technical exploration. It examines its functions and features that can aid in preparing sermons and worship services, creating educational materials, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Recognizing the vulnerabilities and issues of the still-evolving ChatGPT, it suggests using it as a supplementary tool for church activities while addressing and compensating for its weaknesses. It highlights the integrity and security superiority of blockchain in data generation and management, as well as its democratic nature involving community members in data creation and storage, proposing its suitability for managing church membership lists, generating and preserving important church decisions and property records, and sharing them. However, since using and operating a blockchain network requires expertise, it suggests adopting a private (closed) blockchain system most suitable for the church.
Ultimately, since the church is a gathering of people who share faith in God and Jesus Christ, there are several elements unique to a faith community, such as belief in God and His Word, worship connecting that faith with God's Word, and education for the spiritual growth of believers. However, from a worldly perspective, the church also shares common elements with other social communities or organizations, being a group of people. This paper analyzes the utility and issues of current artificial intelligence and blockchain from these two perspectives and seeks to explore the necessary aspects and directions for the church to use artificial intelligence appropriately.
