대금 독주곡 상령산 선율 비교 연구

- 김성진 선율을 중심으로 -

본 고에서는 대금 독주곡의 백미편인 독주곡 상령산에 대하여 비교 연구하였다.
이 곡은 평조회상 중 상령산을 본래의 악보로 독주를 하기도 하지만 독주곡으로 연주할 때는 상령산 1·2장을 옥타브 아래로 내려 선율을 풀어 연주 되고 있다. 무정형장단으로 장식음 적인 선율이 많아서 연주자의 기량에 따라 예술적 감정을 한껏 살릴 수 있는 곡이라 하겠다.
중요무형문화재 제 20 호 대금정악 최초 보유자였던 녹성 김성진의 선율을 중심으로 이수자인 그의 제자 김응서, 조창훈, 조성래, 신용문의 선율을 채보하여 숨자리 차이와 연주 소요시간, 그리고 김성진 선율과 어떠한 변화와 동일함이 있고 현재 얼마나 전승되고 있는지에 관한 연구 이다.

본 고에서 연구되어진 내용을 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 김성진의 총 40회 숨자리가 있는데 이와 같은 비슷한 이는 조성래 41회 신용문 39회이다
둘째, 김성진의 연주 소요시간은 4분인데 그와 가장 비슷한 연주시간인 4분 07초를 연주하는 이는 신용문과 4분 4초를 연주하는 김응서 이다.
셋째, 김성진의 선율과 동일한 선율을 가장 많이 연주하는 횟수로 살펴본바 1장에서는 총 14 선율 중 9회 출현한 김응서, 신용문이며, 2장에서는 총 21 선율 중 13회 출현한 신용문이 김성진의 선율을 현재 가장 많이 연주한다.

이상의 연구를 통해 김성진의 선율은 현재에도 동일하게 연주하는 이가 많았고 확대와 축소변형이 이루어지며 세분화되었다. 전승하는 의미에서는 변화보다는 있는 그대로의 선율을 연주해야 할 것으로 보여 진다.

ABSTRACT
The Comparative Research of Rhythms and Beats of Sangryongsan, Daegeum Solo.
- The Beats and Rhythmns of Seongjin Kim and His Disciples -

This paper talks about Sangryeongsan, which is a well-known piece for Daegeum solo.
Sangryeongsan is often performed as a solo as an exact piece from an ensemble called Yoochoshinjigok. However, when Sangryeongsan is performed as a solo, the first and the second part of it are played an octave lower, making the melody soft and sweet. Since there is no certain beat, or rhythm, and there are lots of grace notes, Sangryeongsan can be performed depending on performers’ artistic talent.
The research is conducted through transcriptions of Changhoon Cho, Yongho Park, Eungseo Kim, Gyuil Hwang, Seongrae Cho, Yongmoon Shin, who are well-known Daegeum players from several universities and orchestras, and who are graduated from training school for Korean Traditional Performing Arts. These transcriptions are often compared with Nokseong Seongjin Kim who was the first intangible cultural asset in Daegeum JeongAk. The points that I focused on this comparison are the different breathing marks they make, the duration time they perform, and the similarities or differences from Seongjin Kim, their teacher, and transmitted Seongjin’s habits to his disciples.
The summary of the research is the following;
First, there are 40 breathing marks in Seongjin Kim’s performance, and Yongho Park is the only one who has the same marks.
Second, Seongjin Kim performs Sanryeongsan for four minutes. Yongmoon Shin and Eungseo Kim have similar performance time for four minutes seven seconds and four minutes four seconds respectively.
Third, in the first part, Eungsoe Kim and Yongmoon Shin perform nine same rhythms and beats as Seongjin Kim performs out of 14. Yongho Park ranked the second most similar rhythms and beats with Seongjin Kim performing 4 out of 14 in the first part. In the second part, Yongmoon Shin performed 13 same rhythms and beats as Seongjin Kim out of 21. Gyuil Hwang ranked the second; he plays 7 same rhythms and beats as Seongjin Kim out of 21.
Throughout the research, I figured out that Seongjin Kim’s beats and rhythms are portrayed similarly by his disciples, although these beats and rhythms in Sangryeongsan can be subdivided and performed with the time expending and scaling down of the score according to the diversity of performers’ artistic inspirations. In terms of passing down the Sangryeongsan’s own artistic value, it seems more important to stick onto the original rhythms and beats rather than to make changes in various ways.
