사회복지학과와 간호학과 학생들의 노인보건 및 복지서비스 연계에 관한 태도 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 사회복지학과와 간호학과 학생들을 대상으로 보건·복지 연계태도에 개인적 특성과 노인에 대한 지식 정도가 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보고자 하는 것이었다.
위의 목적에 따라 본 연구에서는 세 가지 연구문제를 설정하였다.
첫째, 두 집단의 노인에 대한 지식 정도는 어떠한가 둘째, 두 집단의 노인보건과 노인복지서비스 연계에 대한 인식수준 및 태도 어떠한가 셋째, 개인적 특성과 노인에 대한 지식정도가 보건·복지 연계태도에 어떤 영향을 미치는가이다.
연구대상은 노인복지학과 노인 간호학이 전공 선택 과목으로 개설, 운영되고 있는 광주지역 H대학교와 C대학의 사회복지학과와 간호학과 학생들이며, 자료 조사방법은 설문조사를 실시하였다.
주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 두 집단에 노인에 대한 지식정도를 분석한 결과 사회복지학과 학생들의 지식정도가 간호학과 학생들의 지식정도에 비해 조금 높은 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 두 집단의 노인보건과 노인복지서비스의 연계에 대한 인식수준 및 태도를 분석한 결과, 연계필요성에 관한 응답분포에서는 응답자의 80% 이상이 연계가 필요하다는데 긍정하였으며, 연계저해요인에서는 자원의 부족, 전문직간 상이한 서비스 방침으로 인한 문제점, 업무의 과중, 잦은 인사이동, 역할의 불명확성 등을 연계의 저해요인으로 꼽고 있었다.
셋째, 개인적 특성과 노인에 대한 지식정도가 보건·복지 연계태도에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 기대했던 노인에 대한 지식정도는 두 집단간 차이가 있었지만 보건복지 연계태도에는 유의미하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 개인적 특성에서 노인과의 동거경험 유무와 노인관련 자원봉사활동 유무가 보건복지 연계태도에 유의미하게 나타났다.
이상의 연구 결과로 사회복지학과와 간호학과의 노인보건 및 복지서비스의 연계를 위해서는 사회복지학과와 간호학과의 협력이 이루어져야 한다는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 다음과 같은 함의를 제시하였다.
첫째, 대학의 사회복지학과 및 간호학과에서 보건·복지 교육이 강화되어야 한다.
둘째, 보건·복지 연계를 위한 교육프로그램이 확대 실시되어야 한다. 현장에서 서비스를 실천해 나가는 실무자들의 교육을 통해 보건·복지 전문직간 인식 수준을 높이기 위한 다양한 연수가 학생들에게도 확대 실시되어야 한다는 것이다.
셋째, 보건·복지 서비스 연계를 위한 제도적인 정비가 필요하다. 서비스 간 조정을 통한 보건과 복지의 지속적인 협력관계의 유지를 위해서는 법적 제도적인 장치가 마련되어야 하며 지속적인 관리가 필요하다.
결국, 노인보건과 복지서비스 전문직의 협력은 고령화 사회에서 노인들이 제공받는 서비스를 효과적이고 효율적이게 하고, 자원의 한계나 서비스의 중복으로 인한 문제를 해결하는 역할을 하게 될 것이다. 또한 노인들은 다양하고 복합적인 욕구에 부합하는 서비스를 받을 수 있게 됨으로써 사회복지실천 상에 가장 중요한 클라이언트 중심의 서비스가 더욱 강화될 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is how to effect the knowledge degree to the old toward the connection attitude of health welfare and to search the personal characteristics of the students in the Department of Nursing and Social Welfare. Then, I set up three research problems in this study.
First, what is the knowledge degree of two groups toward the old? Second, what is their recognition level and attitudes of two groups toward the old's welfare service? And, third, how their personal characteristics and knowledge degree to the old effect toward their connection attitude of the health welfare?
The object of this study is the students in the Department of Social Welfare and Nursing in H University and C University in Kwangju area, where they learn the science of nursing for the old as their major selective subjects. I used a question research as its research method. I received 210 responses in total, and, among them, used 201 responses as the final data except 9 responses which are not suitable for this study.
The major research results are as follows.
First, as a result I analyzed their knowledge degree toward the old of two groups, in case of the student in the Dept. of Social Welfare, they show their right response rate of 79 percent in physical area, 59 percent in psychological area, and 62 percent in social area. On the other hand, in case of the students in the Dept. of Nursing, they show their right response rate of 78 percent in physical area, 52 percent in psychological area, and 49 percent in social area. Then, the knowledge degree of the students in the Dept. of Social Welfare shows higher than that in the Dept. of Nursing. And, among the lower areas, it is appeared as a slight meaning statistically, expecially it is appeared as p ＜.01 level in the psychological area and as p ＜.001 level in the social area.
Second, as a result I analyzed the recognition and attitude toward the connection between the old's welfare service and the old's health, over 80 percent of the respondents agree that the connection is necessary and they point out that their obstruction factors are the lack of resources, the problems due to the different service policy between the experts, the overload of duty, the frequent personnel change, and the obscurity of their roles. That is, it seems to be a reflected result by the expectation toward the connection possibility with an anxiety for the problems totally.
Third, as a result I analyzed the influence affected to the connection attitude of the health welfare by the knowledge degree toward the old and their characteristics, it shows a difference between two groups in their knowledge degree toward the old, but there a little difference between two groups in their connection attitudes to the health welfare. But, in their personal characteristics, whether they stayed with the old or not and whether they volunteered related with the old or not is a meaningful factor to their connection attitude of the health welfare.
Regarding on whether they stayed with the old or not, among the lower areas to the connection attitude of health welfare, it is appeared a slight meaning statistically in that the connection necessity is a p ＜.05 level, the connection obstruction factor is a p ＜.01 level, and the connection attitude is a p ＜.001 level.
For the connection of welfare service and the old's health by the students in the dept. of Nursing and Social Welfare, I can recognize that the cooperation between the two Departments' students is necessary and I want to suggest the following conclusions.
First, the education on health welfare in the Dept. of Nursing and Social Welfare should be strengthened. The courses such as the old's welfare and nursing science for the old presently, which are attended as a selective course, should be strengthened through the university curriculum in the Dept. of Nursing and Social Welfare. And our concerns and participations to the experts on the old's welfare should also be enhanced.
Second, the educational programs for the connection on health welfare should be enlarged and executed. Throughout the training for the experts in charge of, who execute the welfare service on the spot, a various programs for enhancing the recognition levels of the experts on the health welfare area should be enlarged and executed even for the students. And their recognition level and the understanding degree relating with the health welfare on the spot should be enhanced by participating not only in their educational programs related with their majors performed by the Dept. of Nursing or Social Welfare but also in other majors performed by other Departments.
Third, an institutional maintenance for the connection of the health welfare service is also necessary. For the maintenance of continual cooperation relation toward health and welfare through the adjustment between the services, the lawful and institutional devices should be prepared and the continual maintenance is also necessary.
Finally, the cooperation between the experts on the health for the old and the welfare service makes their services the old are received effective and successful in the society of the old and has a role to solve the problems due to the limitation of resources or the overlapping of services. And because they receive the services, fitted for their various and complex needs, I expect that the client-oriented service, which is the most important one in the practice of the social welfare, will be more enhanced.
