생태학적 사정에 근거한 교수적 수정이 시각중복장애학생의 체육수업 참여행동과 신체활동 수준에 미치는 영향 = The Influences of Instructional Adaptation Based on Ecological Assessment on Engagement Behaviors and Physical Activity Levels of Students with Visual Impairment and Other Disabilities in Physical Education Activity

The purpose of this study was to find out the influences of instructional adaptation Based on ecological assessment on engagement behaviors and physical activity levels of children with visual impairment and other disabilities in physical education activity
To accomplish this purpose, the study employed mixed methodology in which the multiple case study of Yin’s protocol(2009) with 3 children with visual impairment and other disabilities and multiple baseline design of single subject design were used. Instructional adaptations were applied intensively in physical setting, instructional methods, and contents after ecological assessments. Data were collected with in-depth descriptive qualitative data for children performance and responses and quantitative date for engagement behaviors and physical activity levels.
The findings of this study were as follows: First, the instructional adaptation was effective on boosting the engagement behaviors and physical activity levels in the quality and the quantity of engagement behaviors and participation level of the each child with visual impairment and other disabilities in physical education.
Second, the instructional adaptation showed the improvements of the engagement behaviors and physical activity levels of overall three children with visual impairment and other disabilities in physical education within individual difference. In conclusion, continuous and circular ecological assessments and instructional adaptations improve the engagement behaviors and physical activity levels in the quality and the quantity of engagement behaviors and participation level of the each child with visual impairment and other disabilities in physical education with consideration of individual differences. This study also developed in-depth discussions and suggestions for further research.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 시각중복장애학생의 체육수업에서 생태학적 사정에 근거한 교수적 수정이 연구 참여자 내와 연구 참여자 간 참여행동과 신체활동 수준에 미치는 영향을 밝히고자 한다.
이를 위해, 맹학교에 재학 중인 시각중복장애학생 3명을 대상으로 체육수업에서 생태학적 사정에 근거한 교수환경, 교수방법, 교수내용에서 교수적 수정을 실시하여, 참여행동과 신체활동수준에 미치는 영향을 혼합연구방법이 적용된 사례연구를 통해 알아보았다. Yin(2009)의 사례연구의 프로토콜을 실행하되 단일대상연구의 대상자간 중다 간헐 기초선 설계의 기초선과 중재의 시점을 조정하면서 사례연구에 필요한 질적자료를 수집하고 분석하는 혼합연구방법을 사용하였다.
연구의 결과, 첫째, 시각중복장애학생의 체육수업에서 생태학적 사정에 근거한 교수적 수정은 연구 참여자 내 참여행동과 신체활동 수준 증가에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 시각중복장애학생의 체육수업에서 생태학적 사정에 근거한 교수적 수정은 참여행동과 신체활동 수준에서 연구 참여자 간 차이가 나는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 지속적인 생태학적 사정과 교수적 수정의 순환적 관계는 수업시간에 참여행동과 신체활동의 수준이 낮은 시각중복학생의 참여행동과 신체활동 수준을 향상시킨다. 연구과정 중의 심도 있는 관찰과 논의, 그리고 향후 발전을 위한 과제들이 심도 있게 검토되었다.
