용인시대상 세계보건기구 고령친화도시 사회참여 지표의 중요도-수행도 분석 = An Importance-Performance Analysis on the Social Participation Checklists of the World Health Organization in the City of Yongin

This study aimed to prepare a strategy for building age-friendly cities by comparing the importance and performance levels of the elderly-friendly social participation items in the checklist of the World Health Organization's Age-Friendly Cities. To achieve this, the study targeted 139 elderly residents over the age of 65 in Yongin City, and through face-to-face surveys, checked the importance and performance of seven elderly-friendly social participation items and 17 sub-items in WHO's Age-Friendly Cities checklist, including accessibility of events and activities, affordability, range of events and activities, facilities and settings, promotion and awareness of activities, addressing isolation, and fostering community integration. The analysis of importance and performance showed that accessibility of events and activities, affordability, facilities and settings, and fostering community integration were all high in both importance and performance, making them areas for continuous maintenance. On the other hand, range of events and activities, addressing isolation were low in both importance and performance, making them as areas requiring gradual improvement, and promotion and awareness of activities were identified as areas of concentration with high importance but low performance. Based on these results, this study delivered implications for promoting social participation in building age-friendly cities.
