원효의 불성유무 화쟁과 일심과의 관계에 대한 연구 = A Study on the Relationship between Wonhyo’s reconciliation of disputes on the Buddha-nature and One Mind

We looked at the arguments and refutations about the existence of Buddha-nature in Wonhyo's Reconciliation of Disputes in Ten Aspects (十門和諍論). In addition, Wonhyo's reconciliation of disputes was examined, and the relationship between reconciliation of disputes and one One-Mind was examined.
In the Reconciliation of Disputes in Ten Aspects, Wonhyo appears to describe the debate and reconciliation of disputes from the perspective of the existence of Buddha-nature, and in the Nirvana Jongyo(涅槃宗要), reconciliation of disputes is discussed from the perspective of the body of Buddha-nature. From the point of view of the existence of Buddha-nature and from the point of view of the body of Buddha-nature, Wonhyo is using the logic of reconciliation of disputes through the aspect of Eui-ji(依持門) and the aspect of Yeon-gi(緣起門). The five-gotras discrimination theory, which uses the natural-pure-seed as the body of Buddha-nature, is reconciled through the aspect of Eui-ji(依持門), and the theory that all beings become Buddhas, which uses Bhūtatathatā as the body of Buddha-nature, is reconciled through the aspect of Yeon-gi(緣起門). It is the position of ordinary categories to considers the natural-pure-seed as the body of Buddha, and it is the position of truthful categories to consider Bhūtatathatā as the body of Buddha.
However, Wonhyo sees the body of Buddha-nature with One-Mind. From the point of view of One-Mind, the two arguments are correct in that they partially reveal Buddha-nature. However, since the two arguments do not fully reveal Buddha nature, the two arguments are said to be wrong. In the end, if One-Mind is viewed as the body of Buddha-nature, it is neither wrong nor right.
What is the significance of Wonhyo's reconciliation of disputes about Buddha-nature while looking at the body of Buddha-nature with One-mind in modern society? Today, it seems that modern society is mass-producing sentient beings with diverse and complex mental structures. At this point, the significance of the reconciliation of disputes between the theory of five-gotras discrimination and the theory that all beings become Buddhas is that the two arguments act as a practical method from the perspective of One-Mind. In other words, both arguments correspond to ways to lead sentient beings to Buddha-nature.
