命理學의 문헌적 연원과 그 특징

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 명리학의 문헌적 기원에 대한 여러 학자들의 견해에 대하여 고전(古典)의 문헌을 통해 남송대에 분기(分岐)되었던 고법명리학과 신법명리학에 대한 연원과 그 전개 과정 및 특징을 살펴봄으로써 명리학의 역사를 고찰하고, 신법명리학의 시조 서자평이 생존했던 중국의 송대(960∼1279)로부터 약 10세기를 걸쳐 전승된 신법명리학의 성립과 특징을 문헌고찰을 통해 살펴봄으로써 명리학의 기원에 대한 논란을 정리하였다.
이를 위해 우선 명리학이 성립하기 위한 세 가지 전제 조건을 제시하였으며, 다음으로 고법명리학의 연원과 전개를 살피기 위해 『옥조정진경』·『이허중명서』·『낙록자부주』의 연원과 특징을 제시하였으며, 신법명리학의 성립과 특징을 살피기 위하여 신법명리를 대표하는 서자평의 저작 『낙록자삼명소식부주』를 통하여 그 내용을 고찰하였다. 신법명리학의 대표작이라고 할 수 있는 서자평의 『낙록자삼명소식부주』의 내용을 고찰한 결과, 이 책의 원문에 전한의 동중서와 동진의 곽박 등이 기술되어 있으므로 낙록자가 전국시대의 인물이 아니라는 것과 『낙록자부』가 북송 사람에 의해 저술된 것이라는 결론을 얻었다. 아울러 서자평으로 알려져 있는 서언승이 서자평을 계승한 남송말 서대승이라는 점도 밝혔다.
따라서 본 연구는 고법명리의 전개로부터 신법명리의 성립에 이르기까지의 문헌적 연원과 그 특징을 살펴봄으로써 고법과 신법의 차이점을 분석하고, 여러 명서의 저자를 명확히 밝혀 그동안 논란이 되었던 부분을 해소함으로써 명리학이 미래예측서로서 학문적 신뢰도를 높였다는 데에 그 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Concerning the views of many scholars about the literary origin of the studies of destiny principles, this study examines the history of the studies of destiny principles by looking at the origin, development process and characteristics of the ancient and the new studies of destiny principles that were divided in the Southern Song Dynasty through the literature of classics. It clears up the controversy over the origin of the studies of destiny principles by reviewing the establishment and characteristics of the new studies of destiny principles which were transferred over a period of about 10 centuries from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) in China when Xuziping (徐子平), the founder of new studies of destiny principles, lived.
To do this, this paper first suggests three prerequisites for the establishment of the studies of destiny principles. Next, it presents the origin and characteristics of the Yuzhaodingzhenjing (玉照定眞經), the Mingshu of Lixuzhong (李虛中命書), and the Luoluzifuzhu (珞琭子賦注) in order to examine the origin and developments of the ancient studies of destiny principles. To examine the establishment and characteristics of the studies of destiny principles, the paper reviews the contents of the Luoluzisanmingxiaoxifuzhu (珞琭子三命消息赋注) by Xuziping, who represents the new studies of destiny principles.
As a result, the conclusion is drawn that Luoluzi (珞琭子) wasn't a figure in the era of Warring States, and the Luoluzifu (珞琭子賦) was written by a person of the Northern Song, considering that the original text of the book describes Dongzhongshu (董仲舒) of the earlier Han (前漢) and Guopu (郭璞) of Dongjin (東晉). It is also revealed that Xuyansheng (徐彦升), known as Xuziping, was Xudasheng (徐大升) of the late Southern Song Dynasty, who succeeded Xuziping.
This study analyzes the differences between the old destiny principles and the new ones by examining the literary origin and its characteristics from the development of the ancient destiny principles to the formation of the new ones. In addition to this, the authors of various books were clearly identified to resolve controversial issues. Therefore, the academic credibility of the studies of destiny principles to predict the future has been increased.
