국내 유아 및 초등 메이커 교육 연구 동향 비교 분석 = A Comparative Analysis of the Research Trends in Early Childhood and Elementary Maker Education in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국내 유아 및 초등 메이커 교육의 연구 동향을 비교하고 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를위해 본 연구는 메이커 관련 키워드를 검색하여 1차 자료를 수집한 후, 각 논문의 제목, 주제어, 내용등 적절성 여부를 검토하여 2016년 10월~2024년 8월까지 발간된 유아 및 초등 메이커 교육 관련 학위 ․ 학술지 논문 총 165편(유아 49편, 초등 116편)을 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 선정된 연구물은 연구시기와 발표유형, 연구방법, 연구내용, 연구대상, 교육효과성을 기준으로 분석되었으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 연구시기와 발표유형은 유아와 초등 모두 학술지 논문이 학위논문보다 더 높은 비중을 보였고, 연구방법은 두 분야 모두 양적연구가 가장 많았다. 연구내용에서 유아는 효과분석, 초등은 프로그램개발과 적용 연구가 가장 많았으며, 연구대상은 유아와 초등학생 대상 연구가 가장 많았다. 교육효과성에서 유아는 인지적 영역, 초등은 정의적 영역의 변인이 가장 많이 사용되었다. 연구 결과는 유아교육과 초등교육의 연속성 있는 메이커 교육 경험을 위한 학문적 고찰을 비롯하여 교육현장의 요구, 교과간 융합, 평가도구 개발 등에 대한 기초 연구의 필요성을 보여준다. 따라서 메이커 교육 활성화를 위한정책적 지원과 더불어 교사와 부모 연수 기회 확대, 메이커스페이스 구축의 필요성이 제기된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted to compare and analyze research trends in early childhood and elementary maker education in Korea. To this end, this study collected primary data by searching maker-related keywords, and then reviewed the appropriateness of the title, keywords, and content of each paper, and selected a total of 165 theses (49 articles for early childhood and 116 articles for elementary maker education) published from October 2016 to August 2024. The selected research results were analyzed based on the research period and presentation type, research methods, research content, research subjects, and educational effectiveness, and the results are as follows. In terms of research period and presentation type, academic journal articles showed higher proportion than degree papers in both early childhood and elementary education, and in terms of research methods, quantitative research was predominant in both fields. In terms of research content, effectiveness analysis for early childhood education, program development and application studies for elementary education was the most common. In terms of research subjects, studies focusing on young children and elementary school students were the most common. In terms of educational effectiveness, variables in the cognitive domains for early childhood education, the affective domains for elementary education were most often used. These research results show the necessity of basic research on the needs of the educational field, convergence between subjects, and evaluation tool development, as well as academic considerations for continuous maker education experiences in early childhood and elementary education. Therefore, in addition to policy support to revitalize maker education, the need to expand training opportunities for teachers and parents and to establish make spaces is raised.
