南冥의 記·跋(書·題後)에 나타난 時代精神과 政治哲學 = On appeared Spirit of the times and Political Philosophy of Nammyung's documentary literatures and epilogues

A documentary literature[記文] and an epilogue[跋·後文] are what have scientifical thought and feeling which are based on the history and the present reality. Nammyung Cho Sik(南冥 曺植, 1501-1572)'s 'A documentary literature of ginkgo podium(Confucius's teaching platform ; 「杏壇記」)' and 'A documentary literature of filthy town(Yan Hui's resided town : 「陋巷記」)' are based on the origins of Confucius(孔子) and Yan Hui(顔回). And the epilogues about 『Daxue 大學』, 『Xinjing 心經』, 『Dongguoshilue 東國史略』 which are given by Nammyung's friends as the presents have his thoughts about friendship, friends' aspects, importance of respective books, ultimate purpose of study and practice. Through these contents, Nammyung spoke frankly his 'thoughts of enter on an official career or not(出處思想)' and 'thoughts of administrating the state to relieve the people's suffering(經世思想)' connected with the circumstance of the times with his pride and self-examination.
The time not to be able to open administration, Nammyung had impartial attitude about 'enter on an official career or not(出處)' like Confucius, Mencius(孟子) and Yan Hui. Though he stayed at filthy town(陋巷), he was concerned about society and taught disciples through 'the way of Providence[Tiandao: 天道]', the principles of righteousness. Eventually, his instruction came forth in great numbers of disciples and scholars. The person who have great effect on thoughts of a nation and political circumstance have put subjective recognizing a truth and judgment - they are not suitable in objective circumstance of the times - in practice around the president. This fact shows that reputable scholar who is not impartial at enter on an official career or not have had bad influences on the society. Especially, they have furthered a distorted democratic society of Korea and 'The group consciousness of the society ruled by the anticommunist discipline(Anti-Facisme ;Michel Pouco)'. As a result, they have had bad influences on the society and the history.
Nammyung's writings which this treatise quoted have reflected 'reviewing the old and learning the new fields(溫故知新: 鑑古戒今)' - We regard the past as a mirror, with this, we must take precautions against the conflicting actual.'that is a historical philosophy of Confucianism. We have to take over and develop Nammyung's scientifical thought and practice in order not only to remedy our illegality and corruption, avarice, and political circumstance of lacking independence but also to build up a thoroughly democratized country.
