This study presented a vocabulary list of pseudo-Western loanwords by type for Philippine Korean language learners based on Korean-Tagalog parallel corpus data from the 2021 and 2022 Korean-Foreign Language Parallel Corpus. The greatest advantage of parallel corpora is their ability to extract corresponding pairs of vocabulary. This can present corresponding pairs for the vocabulary when trying to learn unfamiliar vocabulary in two languages ​​with different cultures. In this paper, a list of Western loanwords was extracted from the first and second phases of the Korean-Tagalog data from the Korean-Foreign Language Parallel Corpus. Based on this, through the first survey, vocabulary with the possibility of pseudo-borrowing was selected and the vocabulary was divided into types. Through a second survey, the vocabulary was selected by assigning points to vocabulary borrowed from Western countries that were difficult to understand. This allowed us to analyze that conjugational borrowing was the most difficult for Filipino learners learning Korean to understand, and it was concluded that in the case of pseudo-loanwords, it was necessary to present a vocabulary list to Korean language learners. This means that the corresponding pairs are presented not as simple corresponding vocabulary, but as the vocabulary that forms the most corresponding pairs in a large corpus. Comparing and contrasting borrowed words goes beyond simply presenting corresponding pairs and can also show the borrowing process of the two languages ​​and the context of vocabulary use. This study extracted high-frequency Western loanwords from large-scale corpus data, selected vocabulary with the potential for pseudo-borrowing, classified them into types based on lexical components, and presented a list of difficult-to-understand Western loanwords through a secondary survey.
